Texashiker is a fan of using the state to force a dead women's corpse to be used to gestate a deformed fetus, in an effort to have it born alive to quickly die in agony and you expect his sports analogy to make sense?!

And this is why I read his comments.

:D

This one time I gave up on something and then realized I could have succeeded if I hadn't. From this I learned that giving up never, ever makes sense, and trying to come to rational conclusions about outcomes is stupid.

Oh and uh sports.

Before people dismiss deformed children they need to take a look at Sean Stephenson.

Go watch one of his youtube videos. I like the one where is his talking about being an aid at the white house.

Found it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCDqCLhrtNY

You got to watch the video all the way through. The end is a tear jerker.

So because of one anecdotal story we'll all change our minds about Texas' "right" to keep a corpse alive because of a one in a billion chance that the fetus will survive and have a life?

So will Texas be writing Mr. Munoz checks every month to help with the healthcare expenses? It would be the least they could do after keeping his wife's corpse alive in violation of her wishes.

What is likely going to happen is, when they do the official tests in the 24 week to determine the fetuses viability, it isn't going to be viable, and the plug will be pulled.

The legal case probably won't be resolved before that time. Further litigation on who pays from the time she died until the hospital pulls the plug will the happen.

IMHO Tarrant County(JPS is their hospital) should eat all costs associated with this case.

This law is stupid as far as I'm concerned and it should be up to the person via a living will or spouse/competent guardian to determine whether a person should be placed on life support even if the person is pregnant. If the unborn baby is capable of living out of the womb it should be delivered prior to taking the woman off of life support. If not, the woman should not be kept on life support.

The Texas Advance Directives Act, Section 166.049, provides that "a person may not withdraw or withhold life-sustaining treatment under this subchapter from a pregnant patient."

The courts need to decide this quickly. How can someone who everyone agrees is legally dead be still considered a patient? If she is not a patient since she is already dead, this statue should not apply and the wishes of the husband (and her wishes) and her family should be honored.

insightful. once we abolish the U.S. Department of:

Education
Labor
Commerce
Energy
Agriculture
Transportation
Treasury
Health and Human Services
Interior

i am more than happy to increase what is left of the government by, say, 100 or 200 of the unemployed parasites. otherwise big government conservative is an oxymoron in my neighborhood.

if you would rather though, and have a moment i can even list them by agency if you like:

A
AbilityOne Commission
Access Board
Administration for Children and Families (ACF)
Administration for Native Americans
Administration on Aging (AoA)
Administration on Developmental Disabilities
Administrative Conference of the United States
Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts
Advisory Council on Historic Preservation
African Development Foundation
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
Agency for International Development (USAID)
Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
Agricultural Marketing Service
Agricultural Research Service
Agriculture Department
Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Bureau
American Battle Monuments Commission
AmeriCorps
Amtrak
Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service
Antitrust Division
Appalachian Regional Commission
Architect of the Capitol
Arctic Research Commission
Arms Control and International Security
Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Interagency Coordinating Committee

i'll continue with B's tomorrow, or i can pm to you if you like? ;)

"Small Government" at work. A woman's Uterus and Fetus is small, thus under the jurisdiction of the Government.

Nope. The law makes them keep a brain dead lady on life support so she can deliver a deformed child.

This is freaking creepy.

There are sick fucks out there who think that anything less than the most heroic measures that modern medicine can do to keep a person "alive" is the same as suicide.

Just remember, God works in mysterious ways.

But never so mysterious that the religious right doesn't know exactly what he's thinking.

and heaven forbid should i ever come between two who seem so enamoured of each other as you guys, it would be morally reprehensible of me. paratus sandorski, quite a ring to it!

look, for the record fella's i am an advocate for gender confused metrosexual tranny's to carry out, well whatever, you know, as long as it's in the privacy of your own mother's basement(s).

one good note i'm sure you'll both be happy to learn is although veteran gay and lgbt rights advocate and former san francisco human rights commission staffer larry brinkin pleaded guilty tuesday to possessing child pornography and will have to spend six months in jail, his retirement benefits won't be affected as his crime is not considered "moral turpitude" by s.f.!! i'm sure one or both of you must know mr. brinkin and have probably spent many enjoyable hours in his company!

i love being the bringer of good news, make me feel fabulous!

You drive a hard bargain, ok, you can be the sandwhich meat.

as long as you both possess two x chromosomes, and can show natures vagina's it's on (breasts can be natural or man made, no preference). otherwise afraid you'll have to take your "small goverment penis", paratus and go in search of a public restroom.

Who were you before you were banned

if you can somehow increase you IQ by one more point you might be able to grunt. how's that for a hint?
