What was the book you read? Was it Majestic by Whittley Strieber? Just a guess.

Anyway, something to think about:
Most good authors do extensive research and work true facts, places, names dates and theories intop their stories. This is done even for fistional stories to make them more believable. Anyone can go out and gather facts and make up a story about it.

Ad ignorantiam.

Lacking explanation for a phenomenon does not give credence to the credulous; the difference between rational people and mystics is that we don't ascribe that which we can't immediately explain to the inexplicable.

"See that light?"
"Yes. What is it?"
"I don't know. ALIENS!"

That's quite the leap of logic, is it not? If only we had one intelligent observer witnessing these phenomenon that seem to inundate the minds of ignorants we might have something worthy of discussion.

I could care less if ETs visit EARTH or not. They won't have contact with us b/c we're all morons. :)

In any case, back in the 60's while commuting, my parents saw a glowing object in the S. American desert night that crossed the flat desert floor really fast. Stopped for a second, then shot up in a 90 degree angle at amazing speed until it was out of vision.

My parents were amused by this, but like me, could care less about balabberring about it--just another ricer desert commuter. :D

Man. You guys suck. I just read this whole thread.

Then I read this whole link on the Dulce Base here (Dulce Interview)after someone mentioned it. Someone else read it with me so I don't feel like such a loser :D

The funny thing is, how can you make this stuff up? And or/not get caught in a lie? Heh heh.

And this description sounds like Doom III:

Covertly, this research has been going on for years, at DULCE LABS.

Level #6 is privately called "NIGHT-MARE HALL", it holds the Genetic Labs. Reports from workers who have seen bizarre experimentation, are as follows: "I have seen multi-legged 'humans' that look like half-human /half-octopus. Also Reptilian-humans, and furry creatures that have hands like humans and cries like a baby, it mimics human words... also huge mixture of Lizard-humans in cages". There are fish, seals, birds and mice that can barely be considered those species. There are several cages (and vats) of Winged-humanoids, grotesque Bat-like creatures...but 3 1/2 to 7 feet tall. Gargoyle-like beings and Draco-reptoids.

Level #7 is worse, row after row of thousands of humans and human mixtures in cold storage. Here too are embryo storage vats of Humanoids in various stages of development. "I frequently encountered humans in cages, usually dazed or drugged, but sometimes they cried and begged for help. We were told they were hopelessly insane, and involved in high risk drug tests to cure insanity. We were told to never try to speak to them at all. At the beginning we believed that story. Finally in 1978 a small group of workers discovered the truth. It began the Dulce Wars". (and a secret resistance Unit was formed) Note: There are over 18,000 "Aliens" at the Dulce Base. In late 1979, there was a confrontation (over weapons), alot of Scientists and Military personnel were KILLED. The Base was closed for a while....But, it IS currently active. Note: Human and animal abductions (for their Blood and other parts) slowed in the mid-1980s, when the Livermore Berkeley Labs began production of artificial blood for Dulce. William Cooper states: "A clash occurred where in 66 people, of our people, from the National Recon Group, the DELTA group, which is responsible for Security of all Alien connected Projects, were killed." The DELTA Group (within Intelligence Support Activity) have been seen with badges which have a black Triangle on a red background. DELTA is the fourth letter of the Greek alphabet. It has the form of a triangle, and figures prominently in certain Masonic Signs. *EACH BASE HAS ITS OWN SYMBOL. The DULCE Base symbol is a triangle with the Greek letter "Tau") within it and then the symbol is inverted, so the triangle points down. * The Insignia of "a triangle and 3 laterial lines" has been seen on "Saucer (transport) Craft", The Tri-Laterial Symbol. * Other symbols mark landing sites and Alien Craft.

A) Don't you think multilations and killings of animals and peopel could be done by....GASP...other humans?!?

B) I attribute many of these "UFOs" in the 50s, 60s, and 70s to drugs, namely bad acid trips.

C) I do however find this subject matter very interesting, I just don't believe that in this day and age we have no proof and can't seem to catch these rascals if they are indeed still visiting.

D) And I surely don't believe they can stop time or any such nonsense like that.

My favorite part of this interview, it's an entertaining read, but this will tell you all you need to know to survive the coming alien wars.

"Q -- What are the Greys susceptible to?

A -- The Greys are photosensitive, any bright light hurts their eyes. They avoid sunlight, and travel at night. Camera flashes causes them to back up. It could be used as a weapon against them, but they recover quickly. It could buy enough time to escape. Use commands, or nonsensical words in the form of commands and they will back up. Their brain is more logical than ours and they do not create 'fun'. They do not understand poetry either. What really confuses them is saying things in "pig-latin". We learned that in a hurry, and used it against them [the GREYS] in the Dulce Wars. "
