Holy crap: just got gas and electric bill for the month.

No gas, just electric. My condo is about 1300 sq ft and my electricity bill last month was $90. In the summer time though it can get up to $200.

$53 electric.

$30 Gas.

When I lived at my parents house I was "in charge" of paying the $400+ electric bill though.

I have equalized monthly billing so I pay 239$ a month every month for 1200Sq. feet. And it's going up at least 5% a year.

Apparently Canada sucks when it comes to electric bills!

Electric heating will eat you alive

But dont worry, the guvmint says inflation is only about 2-3% per year*

* not including food or energy.

170 for two people and I don't know how many sq foots. Either way, I'm much more consciouses about leaving the heat on when I go to class.

..you haven't seen the beginning of it. watch what happens when the carbon-con becomes institutionalized. You'll see punitive and draconian use tax that will bleed you dry.

$80 for electric.
Propane, depends on how often they fill the tank. Probably averages $50 in the summer and $175 in the winter.

Depends where you're at. Electric heat here is cheaper, gas is more expensive.

I've got about 900 sq ft I think and I pay $75 every 3 months...

*shrug*

$77 for 1100 sq ft apt...gas/electricity.

I keep my house at 64-65 degrees during winter. I use fleece products to keep out any chill and a wool blanket when watching TV.

I also use a Lakso electric space heater for 2-3 hrs while watching evening TV (which is more for my wife than me).

~$60 for electricity ~$30 for gas in the cool months. Minimum rate gas and ~$200 electricity in the summer. I have a decent sized house, dunno the exact square footage though.

My last bill for electricity/gas was $17 ($14 for electricity and $3 for gas).

But I live in a small 2 br apartment with another person. The only thing that is usually on is the microwave, refrigerator, and our computers (2 laptops). Gas is only used to heat water (never cold enough to need heat).
