Holy crap I'm getting fat

BMI is pointless though. Every linebacker in the NFL with a body fat of 8% would be "obese" on the BMI chart. You are probably fat though 😉
 
Cut all of your refined carbs and sugars. You will lose a lot of your weight. Pair that up with some sort of daily workout routine (alternating between lifting and cardio) and you'll see weight loss in no time.
 
Growing up I had a great metabolism. It's starting to catch up with me, though 🙁.

Good advice.

If you drink soda on a daily basis, just stop. That alone can cut 10 pounds of fat in a few months.
 
BMI is a helpful indicator. People know when they are fat/muscular. No one has ever mistaken their spare tire around the waist as a muscle deposit. If your BMI is 28 and you have massive biceps and six-pack abs then you know you aren't fat. If you have a BMI of 28, you have love handles and tits are developing, your stomach looks bloated and you cannot even see your ribs, then you're fat.

Which are you? Ripped muscles or love handles?

Seriously, you can do it, cut down on the intake. I didnt cut out the refined shit. I switched from soda to diet in the evenings, drink water the rest of the time. I just cut out a lot of the bullshit. Baked lays instead of regular, eat smaller portions, etc.
Eat less bullshit, excercise and you'll be good to go.

I lost 85 lbs in 10 months roughly and have kept it off for 2 years now. My weight fluctuates between 170 and 175 (i eat like shit on weekends) and i'm 5'11.

You can do it, dont whine about being fat, don't try your best, or talk about making a change, just do it.

Like sean connery said: "Losers whine about their best. Winners fuck the prom queen."

Be a winner, lose the weight, and go fuck the prom queen.

Now. Do it.

To make you feel better if you carry fat around than you have muscles to support that. Fat people have generally bigger thigh MUSCLE as well as fat.


And yes BMI only works for the average non-gym goer. I have a BMI of 26.5 right now but I'll bench press anyone who calls me fat.

Everything you just said disagreed with your first sentence. It's helpful, but you don't really need it because you can tell by just looking at your muscles or fat? Okay.

this is my problem too. even healthy food can make you gain weight if you eat too much at a sitting.
