How strong was it? Stronger than that "spring break quake" a few years back? That one woke me up.

Better call the family, make sure they're OK.

Viper wasn't sh!tting, I work in downtown Portland, Oregon in a high rise tower and we just felt it. Our building actually moved and you could feel it. I guess when a 20 floors plus tower shakes then it's pretty serious?

Viper, do you know what magnitude this was?

How bad was the damage out in your area?

I grabbed my wallet and was ready to bolt down the stairs (not elevator).

The power's still on, quit your whining!! ;)

Come down to california and we'll show you some shaking!! One of our local baseball teams is call the "Quakes" and their stadium is the "Epicenter."

It's probably just God punishing all those rioters in Seattle. Or Russ ate too much spicy food last night.

cnn.com doesn't even have any info yet. You gotta love these message boards.

I hope that it was it. I'm still shaking a little. A couple of things fell of our shelves here in Vancouver.

Fox News has a blurb up:

An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale has hit the Pacific Northwest, rocking the cities of Seattle, Vancouver and Portland, Ore.

The United States Geological Survey in Denver estimated that the epicenter was 8 miles south of Corvallis, Ore.

A tsunami warning has been issued for the the West Coast and Alaska.

Other news sites say 6.0 or 6.2, though.
