Why on earth doesnt anyone here invest in MXIM or LLTC? Two of the best semi stocks there are? I prefer LLTC, but MXIM is also a good ivnestment.

AMD needs some new architectural upgrades. Right now, Intel has leapfrogged them with the Core2 Duo. They had a great run with the Athlon, but can't expect Intel to keep screwing up.

Man, I hope nobody here has AMD stock; that's the lowest it's been in 5 months! Intel's crushing AMD again!

I lost $17k today :(

so, you had like 200k in AMD stock? LOL

-edit not that I don't believe you, I do, just LOL at putting that much dough into AMD.

It's beleivable, as long as the poster has about $2M invested.

Sorry for the confusion. I actually lost $17k througt out the investment. I'm down 30% for AMD.

INTC would be a good buy, usually it'll fall after the earnings report even though it meets or exceeds expectations, but I think tomorrow would be different. If looking to make a quick buck, INTC should make a nice jump tomorrow, 5-7%?

I've been holding Intc for a year and hope it goes up tomorrow so I can sell it in 2 weeks when I only have to pay long term cap. gain. Then I will be able to provide the dowry to my mail order bride.

INTC, I'm counting on you and so is my bride!

Why not wait till a day or two when it levels back out at $22?
Cause $21.67 x 5 isn't that much less than $22.00 x 5.
Haha... funnay.

Doh! Down another 7.XX% today. I'm trying to decide if I want to risk it and grab a few hundred more shares. But I really don't know where the bottom is on this thing.

I was watching CNBC yesterday and they had a chart over the past year that shows AMD is down almost 60% whereas Intel is just around the break even line. Ouch.

Too bad for AMD, but they're bound to pick it back up again in the future. They just can't compete with the C2D or quad processors.

Yea... I was a little shock when I saw AMD went down by that much.
Maybe it's a good chance to buy?
I probably will wait for the end of the week and then decide.

Tripped my limit order at 16.00, I'll buy more if it heads lower.

Intel has a better lineup for processors and ATI's delay in the GPU market is now a drain on AMD.

Down about 8.2% at this point. I'm freeing up some cash to buy around 16.00 if it hit's it again.

If they didn't dump it before the earnings report, then.. well.. that's just sad. Unless they're planning on holding it for the next year to recover.
