holy cheap internet!

and what exactly is their population density there compared to the mcmansions part of america (the part that could afford spending $70/month on internet?)

that doesn't help a ton when half of the worlds internet is across an ocean in the united states (or europe for that matter)

piss off. it's still damn cheap, disregarding all other issues.

and I still blame executives for everything. along with politicians of course.

Oh, and ignorance in ATOT? THE HELL YOU SAY!

Yes, it's the executive's fault the population density in the US is a mere fraction of that in Japan, meaning many times the infrastructure per customer in the US

And if it weren't for corporate execs, you wouldn't have any internet.

Population density is only part of it. Being capable of raping the ****** out of people for communications is the other half

pathetic, absolutely pathetic..go take another toke man, they are all out to get you!

Population Density of NYC is like ten times higher than Okinawa (which is considered rural in Japan lol). Why can't you get 100 mbps fibre at decent prices in NYC?
I can understand the lack of FTTP/FTTH in cow country, but the urban centres definitely have the density for it.

So Move to Japan?

Just wondering how many people even need that kind of internet speed? I feel spoiled stupid with my 10M internet for $39... in ALASKA no less. And the problems I have with speed (if they're even problems at all) is not that I can't download fast enough but that the site I'm downloading from, won't UPLOAD fast enough. (is that the right word?) So what more would a faster download do for me if sites XYZ and ABC can't upload as fast?

I wonder if these speeds of 100M over there in Okinawa are actually useful.

Most developed countries around the world consider electricity, water and the internets as essentials, the U.S. they are only for the rich.

I've noticed you say a lot of really stupid things.

I'm not going to disagree with you, because when faced with the facts which prove you wrong you never respond.

Important quote:

Asia's good timing will probably pay off for years to come. By the time Asian companies got serious about broadband they could buy much better gear for as little as 20% of what their U.S. counterparts paid.

Super Hi-Def over data lines maybe (I don't know myself)? I certainly wouldn't mind being able to have very fast internet along with less compressed TV signals, and still have bandwidth left for video conferencing. It would make video download services much more viable that's for sure.
