I hate hockey. It's too violent.
That's why I don't care 😀

it doesn't hurt unless your head gets smashed into the dasher boards face first... now that hurts. Hockey violence = looks worse than it is.

Just finished watching USA vs. Russia... what an intense game the first 2 periods... man I miss hockey on tv.

Ovechkin had a twisted wrister to finish off an end-to-end rush ... the Americans surprised me with their team play... they just never stopped coming and the win was big. I also happened to catch the TSN feed via satellite of Canada vs. Slovakia yesterday... Crosby can move and has pretty decent size... I expected him to play much smaller... he looks to be very promising for the NHL... especially if he keeps growing in size.

These kids show a ton of passion in their play... not like most of the established NHLers playing for paychecks. :|

Sweet! Thanks for the heads up!

I wish we got TSN in the US too...DirecTV doesn't carry it do they?

Besides the fac that it's Team Canada playing, you're really not missing much. I find that the commentary leaves a lot to be desired, and I hope that CBC picks up the playoff games. You can't beat Bob Cole and Harry Neil!

Canada vs. Sweden in less than 2 hrs now 🙂

And Cole and Neale are good for the Leafs and that's about it. They get everyone else's names wrong, and are such homers for the Leafs (when it's supposed to be a national station). Meh.

Oh yeah, and I don't really like Gord Miller's commentary either, but he's just the voice of the WJHC. He does a decent job, and props to TSN for airing it every year.

Now John Shorthouse... THERE's a commentator for you.

One of the kids form our local Q team is playing goalie for his home country (Slovakia) Jaroslav Halek this kid is pretty good, Crosby is good to, but I dont think he will be the star everyone thinks he is, he isnt big enough, and he actually doesnt skate that well compared to some of the other players in the Q right now...Alex Bourett, now that kid should have made the team and then some!

well it's safe to say it's going to be Canada for Pool B... it's a toss up between US and Russia for Pool A... anyone could've won that game Saturday.
