BTW, still surprised Crosby doesn't shy away from physical battles for the puck... very impressive kid.

Yeah but only one team did: USA. THe U.S. should be able to beat the Czechs and Belarus (assuming no more defensive meltdowns) and come away with the bye.
 
Anybody televising the Spengler Cup? Sportsnet showed a game Sunday night, but since then nothing. I see though that they are televising some Swedish Elite League games, seems odd. I'd also like to rant a bit about the Juniors coverage, Why only Team Canada games being televised? I would watch the other games as well and I hink many other Canadians would as well.

Was switching back and forth to USA Belarus game. 5-1 at one point!!
Unbelievable finish, very happy for Belarus.

Still think Pierre McGuire(sp) is a douche bag (anybody watching on TSN would know what I'm talking about)

Well he was just carving up Montoya, I think he called him "clueless" at one point.

Plus he'll make comments like he's a parent watching in the crowd, Like guffawing and stuff when somebody makes a bad play, really unprofessional imo.

Hehe, I wouldn't call it unprofessional, but I do find his tirades irritating. When he's not slagging someone/something he's going the opposite way praising someone/something. It's as if over-the-top is the only consistency he has. The sky is falling or the heavens have opened.

Yeah maybe over-the-top is what I'm looking for. It just seems like the negative comments he makes don't really add anything to the viewing experience.
And while we're on the topic, what's up with the booth they use for the post-game talks? They really picked the wrong place to set up, when Canada plays you can't hear a word the guys are saying for all the hooting and hollering.

It's a really extravagent building too. Marble & gold flooring in the entrances, TWO hockey rinks (one olympic sized), and the just built a basketball/volleyball building onto it. The whole area surrounding the arena is really expanding with mini-malls and townhouses, too.
