I didn't realize WASR-10's were going for $700 now. That's crazy. They used to be under $300 when I first started looking.

Seems like you need a good shotgun. You might be able to score a Remington 11-87 for around $600 if look hard enough.

They have literally evaporated with the economic crisis/election. You could get one anywhere for $300-350 before.

Does this mean the price for the higher end AK's have gone up as well?

Norinco's are $800 and up lately.

I just ordered a new Spingfield XDM .40/ It is in your price range. Nice gun.

Sigs are good, but high dollar unless you get a recert...even then.

I've definitely eyed these on aimsurplus. Have not read a ton about them though.

I've been looking at them as well. They look mean as hell, I like the Dragunov style stock.

They're running closer to $800 however, and I'm having a hard time bringing myself to pay that much for a glorified AK-47 which from everything I've read isn't really all that accurate and has problems with heat and throwing shots out to about 8 or 10 MOA after a few mags.

They've must have gone up since last I looked at them. Used to be able to find them for $600ish.

I'm going to have to say a 686. thought if you raise your amount up alittle bit, then you can get a nice s&w .357, the PC 627.

Wow, how much did that run you?

My friend also has a Civil War musket his brother picked up in Afghanistan for $100. Get 6 of those and make yourself some money. :p

I think you can get them for about $200 and up.

I think you can still get AKs for around 400-500 if you look, mainly online.

You're missing a 1911. Even though I don't really like shooting mine, it's gotta be in your collection as a classic pistol. I'd also suggest a CZ-P01.

GSG-5s look cool but not sure I'd want to spend that much for a .22.

Could always go for the Makarov, Tokarev, or the Nagant M1895 Revolver in C&R pistols.

M1903 is another fine rifle but those are always over $600 for a half decent one..

Looks like you need a good lever gun in there also. Henry makes a really nice .22 in the Golden Boy model. I've heard all of their other models are great as well. I'd probably go after a Winchester 92 (i think it's 92) for my next lever gun.

too many guns to mention, too little time and too little money.

Shop around or up the budget a little bit and you can pick up a Browning Buckmark and a Mossberg 930. That would let you fill two squares - a fun .22lr semi-auto and a semi-auto 12ga. Regular prices on them at Academy Sports would set you back about $680 + taxes combined, so you should be able to pick them up lightly used around your budget.

I already owned an XD45. It was a fine gun, but the takedown lever rubbed on my left thumb because my hands are huge and I actually know how to hold a handgun.

Yeah... you need nice quality tactical shotgun to go with your collection. Maybe a Remington Model 870 with a pistol grip and a folding stock?

Well, I found out that Aimsurplus.com lets you backorder the WASR's for $399.95 by phone order. So I ended up calling them up and got on a 6-8 month waiting list. I'll use the rest to buy a half case of .223, 2-3 more AK mags, and a pistol magazine universal loader.

Next up on my want list is definitely.

1. S&W 686 6"
2. Remington 870
3. M14

And the long term list

1. Scoped bolt action rifle, either remington 700 or savage
2. 1911
3. Nagant 1895 revolver

And the low priority list

1. Saiga 12
2. M1 carbine
3. get a new stock for my enfield 303 and clean it up
4. Reflex site for my AR

I just bought a new Glock G21SF w/ 3 high-cap clips for $460 (law enforcement discount) and i am waiting for the next gun show in this area which is Dec 13/14th to buy a Browning Buck Mark .22 pistol. Looking for the standard URX 5.5 probably, if the price is right.

Sure is and i like it so far. Although i have one gripe, which is probably often heard with glock, is that when i bring the gun up to eye level i have to make a conscious effort to line the sights up. It's quite off when i aim with a natural angle.

Other than that, i like it. I'm willing to get use to the grip angle since it's a well known fact that the glock is an extremely reliable gun. (I hope there's no glock haters reading this! Bring on the flames!!) :p

Cool, I've never noticed that with my Glock, but I've never really fired anything that didn't feel comfortable.

Kinda like the guy at gunblast. He says people complain all the time because every review is positive. He said he's just never shot a gun he didn't like :p

Heh, yeah kinda. I definitely like some over others. The ruger p85 was about the worst that I've fired, it just felt really cheap. But it still fired with no problems.
