Not surprising, but interesting nevertheless. Even before these results it was clear he wasn't of pure "Aryan" stock.

Anyway, I always thought it was common knowledge that Hitler was part-Jewish?? (as much as half?)

I dont know if it is a fact or not, but my hilariously racist friend would say hitler was terrible because he was secretly jewish. He said it to shock people, so we never expected it to be true.
 
I remember reading something in the 60's that said Hitler was part Jewish from his illegitimate grandfather...making him 1/4 Jewish.

Of course, it's been denied numerous times, and it appears that MAYBE, Hitler was vague about his family history because the Schickelgruber side of his family was known for mental retardation and insanity. (gee...whoda guessed?)

Based on the current model of the 'Out of Africa' theory of human evolution, wouldn't we all be considered to have African roots?
 
Afcourse we all have the same roots. Life is like a lightning bolt. It may have separate branches, but it all was not possible if not for that first excitation.

This isn't really suprising as it confirms what historians have believed/suspected for quite some time.
 
I think it was very well known that Hitler was not a pure Aryan, but he still thought the "master race" or perfect race was Aryan, even if he personally didn't fit the bill. He was a supporter of eugenics.

Of course, but as someone else said there are branches. For example all people with blue eyes descend from a mutant about 11,000 years ago. All Europeans descend from a group of about 50 people if I recall correctly, etc.
