I'm back 🙂 Heere we gooo
<< Tell me, do you have posters of Leonardo DiCaprio all over your wall? >>
Hmm....I'm gonna say no
<< BTW, where did hear that 98 Degree's (steaming hot crap) write's their own music, Tiger Beat? >>
No, I call it the CD 🙂
<< - and has pretty much nothing to set it aside from the hoards of other boy bands out there (they all sound the same, face it). >>
Do I have to say this again? No, they don't. You think so, because you don't like it. I think the same thing about all old rock/alternative. But I do KNOW that it's not, but it sounds it to me. If you gave me an intrumental version of a new song from one of those three, one that I'd never heard of, I would be able to tell you who it's by, from the style.
<< You say that these groups are good because they are very popular >>
No I don't. It's good because it is. It is because I like it. Who cares what others want? Oh...I do...that would be my job 🙂
<< The entire pop culture... buying music based on thinking the artist is good looking, buying music because your friends are. Buying music to keep up. Buying music to look like something you're not. Buying music out of sheer ennui. >>
Hmm...I don't like them because of their looks, obviously, my friends all like rap, how is music gonna make me look different? Ok, I buy music to keep up, bu that's cause I'm a DJ.
<< To me, the best type of music is hitting notes with your voice. Quartet style, the rawest form of vocal music. 1st tenor, 2nd tenor, baritone, bass. No instruments, just clear voices hitting notes. >>
98 Degrees has backround music, but they are a pure quartet, with all 4 parts.
<< kc and jojo did it and they had a hit..forgot name of song >>
They have two...All My Life and Tell Me It's Real...that brings up something, noone makes fun of R&B artists like them, but all R&B is is pop with more bass and black singers. There is seriously no real difference. First time I heard Brian McKnight, I thought he was a white pop artist. Guess what, he's black R&B. The styles are the same, yet R&B is held in so much higher regard to people who don't like either.
Ahh that was fun 🙂
