You cannot love life and stand by while others can't get medical care. No society should exist in which people can't get treatment. There is no difference in carrying away your mate whose been gored by a mammoth than socializing medicine. It's what human beings do when they feel empathy and connection. But we live in a world of hate and competition so spciopathology is normal.

dog-whistle politics? :p

Lol, gonna need to look at that when I get home. I do love how the campaign is saying bill is writing his own speech while everyone and their brother is reporting that he is being told to go with foreign policy and then fill in other items as time permits. Can't wait to find out what the final version is.

I can't stand listening to her voice for more than 10 seconds, so I turned it off... seriously, her voice reminds me of nails on a chalkboard.

can't do it.

nope.

I'll have to take your word for it that she got down on her knees and blew Obama all proper-like...

Nice speech she did exactly what was expected. To bad she went with the stupid UHC crap. I really wonder if the dems really understand what it would do. It would double the tax rate for medicare level coverage for all. Instead of 40 million with out insurace you will have 350 million with shitty worthless health coverage.

They better start planting the magic beans that grow doctors to support the newly 40 million insured.

I'm sure you'll volunteer to not receive medical care so we can save a few magic beans.

So they can then work for free...

In the magic happy dreamland that is UHC.

The speech was one of her better ones. It seemed that now that the pressure was off she could relax. I still don't agree or like her very much, but still it wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be.

At least you're admitting magic beans are an integral part of the UHC plan.

Thanks to those who provided links to the text. I thought it was pretty well written, although cheesy when talking about the people she'd met. I honestly hate it when any politician tries to make him/herself sound 'down with the people' by relating these corny stories. You can convince me that you're down by pushing legislation that benefits the country and choosing not to bomb brown people to further corporate interests. So far no party has done that very well in the history of this country, and so I'm therefore stuck hearing about <insert persons name> in <insert rust belt city> who <insert candiate> is going to help by <insert empty rhetoric>.

Looking forward to Bill's speech.
