Why would she be a horrible president? She's a politician, and as far as I'm concerned, it's a genderless designation. Frankly, from looking at the list of candidates on both sides, IMHO, no one is more qualified than Hillary to take the seat.

She has handles a lot of her campaign issues, which will probably be her platforms, in the past and I do trust her with the issues that she knows best. Keeping in mind that it doesn't matter who will become president, I doubt that person would have a blank checkbook that our currrent president is wielding.

Maybe, just maybe in times like these our country can use a fresh change, be it a female president, a black president or a hispanic president.

Why did you feel the need to bring gender into this? I only used "She" as it's the proper pronoun to use.

But, the following statement should be all that's needed to say:

She's one of the worst panderers I've ever seen.

For the record, Hillary Clinton doesn't support gay marriage.

But supports civil unions for gay couples.

I'm like aidanjm, I understand why conservatives don't like Hillary, but why don't liberals like her?

Actually, many liberals DO like her...but not all Democrats are liberals...just like not all Republicans are Neo-Cons...

The truth is they fear a capable Democratic President.
And that is what she would be.

She has no positions. Her positions float with whatever the polls say at the moment. There's almost nothing more I hate in a politician than that. She would be a terrible President, plus I don't think the country is ready for a woman president, or a black one for that matter, regardless of how qualified they are. I think Obama made a HUGE mistake running this year instead of waiting for his next opportunity when he has more experience under his belt.

That rules her out. What about Obama?

lol, I don't think it rules her out. It's not like she is campaigning to crucify gay people.

Obama ftw

2 years as a junior senator seems to be quite enough to qualify a democrat for president these days.

Let's also not forget that Barack Hussein Obama was raised a Muslim. And perhaps still is one.

What does Obama have to do to convince members of "John Q. Public" such as yourself that he's a Christian?

Oh give that right-wing BS a rest, ok? Jesus Christ. Do you ever try to form your OWN opinion? EVER?

Because she's not a liberal. She's a DLC-dandy. The DLC is GOP-lite. Pro-war, pro-corporation, pro-nanny state.

Waiting 6 hours with a broken arm to get treated, does that sound like fun to you? Not only that, they don't always treat ailments, IE a broken finger will go without a cast or even a broken ankle will go without a cast.)

Ever sit in an E.R. in the U.S.? Waiting for hours for treatment for a broken bone is not uncommon. Also, fingers don't get casts, they just get splinted.

Did you catch the announcement?:

"she has set up an exploratory committee that can gauge opinions"

I assume that means she will say and do what her committee thinks is required to get elected. Thus, I agree with your statement exactly.

You guys would be so lucky to have this smart woman as president. If you don't want her, we'll take her.🙂

I am sure she has bigger balls than Stephon Dion 🙂

lets not forget when she ran for senate, she vowed she will NEVER run for presidency, and WTF do we have here??? an obvious national lie!

i never voted in my life, but if she runs, i WILL vote against her based on that.

At least she didn't move to your state just to advance her political career. I voted against Hilary in the primary, but the regular election, I voted for her just to go for the split senate (balanced Congress).

Biggest mistake of her political career. She'd be a horrible President. She's one of the worst panderers I've ever seen.

I won't be voting for her. I'd sooner Bill dress in drag and run in her stead.

for what reason?

You may as well ask what would prevent many from voting for an acknowledged gay. They can only invent reasons that are really sourced in bigoted opinion, irrational emotional feelings they are not conscious they hold, but which act like invisible guiding stars to their opinions.

Are you trying to say that anyone who would not vote for Hillary would not do so simply for the fact she is a woman?

No, and I had hoped that my use of the word 'many' might convey that. I also do not really like her, too centrist for me, but I find still an emotional component in my thinking. I don't want her and I am not entirely sure why. Maybe it's because with all her high negatives she has the ego to run anyway whereas other Democrats could command much broader respect, at least in my opinion. Her ambitions are foremost over what would be the best candidate for the country, maybe.

LMFAO, so, just out of curiousity, who did you vote for the last go round?

Hitler had ambitions. 😀

I think you don't like her because you are smart enough to know she's a snake in the grass.

I think Hillary will win this, appealing to people who occupy political middle ground. It would be an interesting change after Dumbya, who won the election by p1tching to extreme-right wing, evangelical christians.

It's gonna be Hillary vs McCain. McCain wins in a landslide, we get more pandering to the minority right wing, country does not get back on track until 2012 when Obama is elected.

I have doubts about her electability. The US is an incredibly sexist country.
But I am willing to give her a chance to make her case and not depend on what the Republicans and their mouth pieces have said about her over the last 15 years or so.

the good news is there are more female than male us citizens. hopefully many of those women will realize they can no longer afford leave the running of their country in the hands of men, and decide to vote.

McCain is a tired, impotent, elderly creep & has-been. people want vigor in a leader.

if Hilary is so unelectable, I wonder why people are so willing to give her vast sums of money for her campaign. She seems to have more money raising power than other contenders.

these comments are absurd.

it is the JOB of a politician to stay in touch with community opinions and sentiments, and to some extent take those opinions and sentiments on board. Part of the job of a politician is to continuously gauge opinions of the public.

But to say Hillary Clinton is a "flip flopper" or that she modifies her position willy-nilly as per the latest opinion pole is not accurate. It is even more stupid to suggest she has no positions. The obvious, relevant examples here are her positions on Iraq - which have BARELY CHANGED in several years. This despite enormous pressure from more left-leaning democrats for her to come out with all guns blazing against the war.

It is also ABSURD to characterize her positions as highly liberal or extremely left-leaning - when in fact any FOOL can see her positions are very middle of the road and if anything swaying to the right more so than the left.

The sheer STUPIDITY of the objections being raised against Hillary make me think most of the dislike towards Hillary is due to sexism.
