Why would she be a horrible president? She's a politician, and as far as I'm concerned, it's a genderless designation. Frankly, from looking at the list of candidates on both sides, IMHO, no one is more qualified than Hillary to take the seat.

She has handles a lot of her campaign issues, which will probably be her platforms, in the past and I do trust her with the issues that she knows best. Keeping in mind that it doesn't matter who will become president, I doubt that person would have a blank checkbook that our currrent president is wielding.

Maybe, just maybe in times like these our country can use a fresh change, be it a female president, a black president or a hispanic president.

The right wing smear campaign has spent years and tens and possibly hundreds of millions to convince us there is something "wrong " with Hillary.
The truth is they fear a capable Democratic President.
And that is what she would be.

This life-long Democrat shudders at the thought of Hillary as president...She was perhaps the thing I disliked most about the Bill Clinton presidency.

Care to share your thoughts BooomerD? I mean, a lot of people don't like her, and I have yet to figure out why. Is it because she has ambitions? Is it because she tried to be a prominent figure in the political arena rather than a photo-op like most other first ladies? Is it because she's "wayyyyy out there to the left"? Which to this day, I still don't understand the connotations.

If she has a real platform, with real issues or problems that she would have a realistic plan that can potentially fix these issues, why shouldn't she get the same support as other candidates? I'm sure perhaps you, and most of the American public have supported far less qualified candidates, based on emotions. And, the funniest things is that as soon as these candidates are elected to office, they rarely keep their campaign promises but they would have your stamp of approval simply because he's your man.

I do hope Americans are smarter than I thought we are, so we don't repeat the same mistakes that have plagued us every election.

Hilary or Obama running is a sure fire way to ensure another four years of Republican rule. Not trying to be backward thinking, but the US is probably not ready for a woman or black President. Even if it were ready for a woman President, Hillary is a walking cluster-f*ck. At least Obama would have a chance, if not for the racists in the Red States.

I don't understand this statement.

It means we will still be controlled by the brain slugs.

you think if Al Gore had won, the USA would be quagmired in Iraq..? Right...

I think that is nonsense, I think it matters a great deal to the entire world who gets elected in the USA. The decisions Americans make in the ballet booth will have an effect on the lives of people around the world. Voting for Bush over Gore has lead to the death of tens of thousands of people in Iraq. That would not have happened if US citizens had chosen more wisely.

Nah, I really don't care that she comes equipped with a vagina. It's more her politics and her personal style. She's a bit too far to the left for me, and IMO, is one of the maind forces behind the current wave of "Political Correctness". I see nothing "lady-like" about her, but rather, just a "ball-busting b!tch", which may be why Bill couldn't keep his pants zipped up elsewhere...She MAY have the qualities of a good leader, but she seems to bend which ever way the wind is blowing at the moment...and that concerns me. Granted, our politicians are indeed servants of the people, and need to do what "We the People" want, but you just can't please everyone, and "waffling" back and forth is not a good style of governing...

She will unite Republicans like never before should she get her party's nomination.

But I doubt she will. Obama will beat her I think.

Next question: Condi, when will you throw your hat into the race???

Biggest mistake of her political career. She'd be a horrible President. She's one of the worst panderers I've ever seen.

I won't be voting for her. I'd sooner Bill dress in drag and run in her stead.

for what reason?

You may as well ask what would prevent many from voting for an acknowledged gay. They can only invent reasons that are really sourced in bigoted opinion, irrational emotional feelings they are not conscious they hold, but which act like invisible guiding stars to their opinions.

please do... we'll even pack her bags for her!

I do not think that Hillary will win... half of her own party can't stand her.

Are you trying to say that anyone who would not vote for Hillary would not do so simply for the fact she is a woman?

Why don't I like Hillery? Why Yes, I don't like the idea of gay marriage or abortions. (Heck marriage is a religious thing and I would be just as happy if the government took away any aid given to married people and pulled itself away from the issue.)

I think that Social Heath care is a very bad Idea, and all one needs to do is look at ANY country that currently uses a vast system of Social Health care (I lived in England for 2 years, I have experianced the NHS and I dread the day the USA incorporates it. Waiting 6 hours with a broken arm to get treated, does that sound like fun to you? Not only that, they don't always treat ailments, IE a broken finger will go without a cast or even a broken ankle will go without a cast.)

The fact that she is gay and a woman is not what bothers me, its the fact that she stands for things I don't. (Yeah, I have freedom to vote, so Flame away because I will not be swayed by whatever excuse you shoot forward).

Hillary is supposedly straight... as in, not gay... she only happens to look like a ball-busting bull-***. She's really just a "happily married" woman.

just an FYI...

You are correct on everything else. Her politics are the main reason to cast your vote for someone else. That, and her tendency to lie... she makes her husband look like honest Abe!

ps: She's also a criminal.

Great. If she wins, the bush & Clinton families can run the country for 26 straight years. Sort of like a Royal family thing. :(

Edit: Opps, better make that 24 or 28 years. Thanks PH. :)

24 or 28... not 26.

Bush Sr. = 4
Bill C. = 8
Bush Jr. = 8
Hillary C.= 4 or 8.

Have no fear... After denying for months that he wasn't interested, Bill Richardson has announced the formation of an exploratory commission.

As for Hill, speaking as a conservative, I hope she wins. If she runs we might have a shot at electing a true conservative to the presidency. Not a neo-con... a real conservative.
