Bill has had very liberal people who he disagrees with on his show before and he was very fair and treated them nicely.

Go find his interview with Michael Moore to see what I mean.

I expect he will ask very serious questions, but will give Hillary a chance to answer them.

I tend to believe that the far right republicans like O'Reilly and the far left democrats like Hillary have both gone so far that they are actually rubbing shoulders. Weird. I was watching a Chomsky documentary the other day where he talked about how the MSM paints the 'far left' or 'liberals' in contemporary politics, and how as a voter you're essentially bracketed between them and the repubs. Me, I consider both parties to essentially serve the same purpose - preservation of the system which benefits the very few and the expense of the many. Therefore since I fall outside of the conventional bracket, I'm a nutjob or a communist and not to be taken seriously. As is Nader, Zinn, Chomsky himself, or anyone else pointing out what should be the obvious truth. The obvious truth would be harmful to the system, so therefore you have the bracket. This is all assuming I interpreted Chomsky correctly.

In other words, I don't really care about this 'showdown', because nobody will get any smarter as a result and nobody except the MSM and powerful interests stand to gain anything.

I'm not a Chomsky-ite, but I have to agree that Hillary is not a "far left" Democrat. Just another "machine" politician. Moderate and mainstream, like all of them. Contrary to all the bizarre partisan accusations flung this way and that, there's no radicals serving in Congress, and especially not in the Senate.

Watching it right now. Wouldn't say it's softball questions. Not confrontational but certainly not soft. Hillary is handling it well, and speaking intelligently.

I wanted him to hammer her more? Eh? I dunno, the second half tomorrow is required before I really know how much he challenged her. She handled itself better than I?ve ever seen, it?s like wow there?s a human being under the political monster.

i'm certain the ground rules have been ironed out in smallest detail by both sides before each would even think about meeting up on his show. should be a draw, with both claiming victory, and both would be right/wrong depending on whose side the interview is viewed from.

i'd rather see obama joust with o-really instead. the title of this little match-up could be "mental giant vs mental midget".

you may not like oreilly, but to call him a mental midget is just ignorant. he's not a stupid person by anymeans. Unless you were dissing Obama, and I would disagree with that too

i was comparing the difference between the two from a sensationalist point of view like most wrestling, boxing and other martial arts matches do. in hindsight i guess i should have titled this dream match as " smart obama vs. not stupid oreilly"?

O'Reilly tends to hide behind other people's point of view. I rarely ever hear him come up with some stance or point of view on his own.

Not a defect on him or anything, but just makes him unoriginal.

I saw the video, and whether you like Hillary or not, you can say for sure that she is tougher than Obama. She stood up to Bill and I don't see many other people being able to do that.
