I would consider it, were it not for the fact that that same drive works fine on the other 3 controllers I've tried it on. Kinda suggests the drive works just fine.
 
I have a BP6 but i havent really needed to use the hpt366 conroller yet. I have a 34gxp drive but it isnt fast enough to take advantage of the 66mb/s. I am buying a 30gig 75gxp soon though soon. I think i can get i tto work i have read lots on the problems and on ways to remedy them. After I try it I will tell you all if it is suck.
 
Ya kinda strange Larry Joe so I guess my Hardrive controller pcb revision speculation went right out the window. You have the mainboard and Ibm backup drive that I used. Maybe the drive I kept, the boot drive had the problem then with the hp366. Its really hard to tell what the probelm really was.
