it depends on your definition of "easy." of course though, any job is easy if you love what you're doing.

Yeah, thats what I think I'll end up doing. But this is just an "idea" thread because I don't need or really want a job right now.

Get paid a lot? Where are you talking about? Things being relative, they don't get paid much. Starting pay in this area is $27,000.

you can get paid alot after some time, CA state police starts ~35k (campus cops) and they move up VERY quickly since there's usually 3-10 people in a division... so your that many people away from becoming a chief which makes low six figures

ALSO detectives make good money (in San Diego County, dunno about others), especially background investigators, I know a few who make 75-100k a year w/ OT, and some of them get to schedule their own overtime!

I got my job when I was 15 and I can tell you if you're 15 you take whatever job you can get if you need the money. VERY few places, even most fast food places, won't hire you if you're under 18. Where I work I do custom embroidery and screen printing for companies and organizations, not exactly what I'd like to be doing but I'm lucky to have a job and make $0.60 above minimum wage ;)

Yeah, I know many people here HAVE THE SKILL, but how many have on their own except for one large script done it all on their own? Yeah, I really think companies care about my skills because my attitude online with a person like you making assumptions before knowing me is wrong, if you asked me for information before insulting me I would have. I think people care about a popular website I made and handled. Those few programmers didn't do a whole lot, but they did like it so much, they let it all stay under my name. Yes, I think people care I can reccomend computer parts and have them buy the entire list.

Do I have any evidence? Yes, you know how many companies have talked with me about advertising on my site even though I hardly get many visitors? Plenty. One time I was speaking with the president of the large company. I won't make any names here but I turned them all down so far. There are plenty of reasons why and in my situation it was the best choice.

Ambition? Ambition my ass! I did that 10k people a day website when I was... how old? Hint, I'm 15 now and in 10th grade, started it in 6th grade, peak in 7th grade, closed in 8th grade when advertisers were going out of business. So, wait, I was 11? Yeah I was. Oh yeah, this was a site that drove two professional companies out of business because of competition. What did they do wrong? They relied by far too much of hand work. What did my site do differently? The scripts handled just about everything, which made my life very simple.

Holy Jesus, this post just SCREAMS bs. AgaBooga was caught in a lie on the forums in the past, and this is probably an extension of that skill. You come here asking for information on how to make easy money... yet you turn down free money from prospective advertisers of your sh!tty site? Hmm, yeah...

Kid, you're 15... you are not going to be getting a 'high profit job'. You honestly think somebody is going to hire a 15 year old kid with no ambition to work for their firm? Why don't you take a job selling bullsh!t, cause you seem to have a surplus of it.

First, I have no clue who you are. Second, you sound like the standard bitch with no options or aftermarket products.

Third, you have no clue who I am or my background. If you want, I'll tell you all about my website I ran years ago with over 10k people a day, I'll tell you about the team of programmers in Germany that did some work for my site, I'll tell you how under many search words, my site was #1 for some time in google search listings all without paying them a dime and #2 or #3 for most of the rest. Oh yeah, I'll tell you about my scripting capabilities, go to www.ankitgupta.com, my website and look at it. Sure the news is out of date along with everything else, but it'll show that I'm committed to school because it matters more than a website. I'll also tell you about how many people come to me for advice on computers and how many people I've put lists together for who bought exactly every part I mentioned.

You wanna argue against someone you don't even know?

Whoopdi-frickin doo! Do you know where you are? Do you know how many people here have skill equal to and far greater than you? Do you think companies really care what skills you have when you demonstrate the kind of attitude you have? Do you think anybody cares that you were involved in a popular website a while ago? Do you think anybody cares that friends listen to your recommendations in computer components?

I'll say again... you are 15, you obviously have no ambition if you aren't willing to work for your money, and you expect to be able to get some sweet job that pays high while requiring little work? Christ kid, wake up.

Yeah, I know many people here HAVE THE SKILL, but how many have on their own except for one large script done it all on their own? cricky: You just keep on arguing over one line, I think you might get somewhere in life if you do it enough.

waggy: He started telling me how I act before even knowing me, I have the right to defend with an attitude I like. If a business man called his boss a prostitute on the first day of work, wth do you expect?

Pudgygiant & virtuamike: I've thought about computer related service, but my problem is I don't want to work for a company on this because I've heard it can get really boring, I mean, in the morning you have 10 computers near your desk, you have to fix all of them. Or, you handle orders and build computers, sure the first one or two can be slightly interesting, but for the most part they get boring from there on. I think about computer sales from time to time though, I won't have to handle problems then.

Zorba: Whats a Carnie?

Alright... hold on a minute. So you say you ran a large website when you were 11, drove 2 large companies out of business... then you turned down the president of a company who wanted to advertise on your site for 'various reasons', and you come on here asking for easy ways to make money doing little work?

I call BS on this whole story. You keep saying "this one large site" and "I won't mention any names".. while sputtering this crap about presidents of large corporations calling you about advertising on your personal site even though you said yourself nobody visits it. "I want to make money doing nothing, but presidents of companies call and ask to advertise on my site and I turn them down."

I hereby declare Shenanigans on this poster.

It was at the same domain as my now personal site, www.ankitgupta.com

It started with the Pokemon craze, driving about 1k people a day at the max. Sold some items through Amazon for this section.

The thing that got it up, was my idea at the time of a topsite list, which is still used at many sites today with a method where when you click on the little 88x31 button, they get one vote. Sites get ranked on votes. My idea was to rank based on how many people visited the site each day, ontop of that at the site you were visiting with my button, it displayed their rank on the image as well.

I first started it for Pokemon creating competition from the other sites, then it moved onto Coin collecting/selling sites which was the first area my site had basically a monopoly and since my website never made a penny because I had no ads anywhere on my site, it couldn't be considered one. I gave equal opportunity to all other sites, so it wasn't actually a monopoly, more like really harsh competition. Soon I had just about every Coin Collecting site. Then, I started a Beanie Baby site which was also popular at the time grabbing many viewers, as well as categories including Survivor, Big Brother TV show, dragon ballz, card captors, other internet sites, and a few others. Many of those I had no clue what they were such as card captorz, all I know is there were a ton of sites on it and it seemed popular. The other two competing sites shut down eventually and mine was the only one left.

The one problem I ran into was traffic believe it or not. I had too many visitors and being 11 or 12 that I was, I didn't have much money. Everything up till there was paid for by my dad, it will be the best $20 a month he ever spent on me for hosting. Well, the host wanted me to go at least Semi-dedicated, up till then I was doing a virtual server, which was not working for me since the price on one that would work for me was like $280 a month. I could have probably found some other host to do it for $200 a month, but since I didn't have ads it wasn't viable. I actually did try putting some ads, but sadly at the time of this, the dot-com boom was ending and those few advertisers I had shut down soon after. I learned a lot from the site and I think that is what will get me into a good college or land me a job. I have had offers even till today for advertising, but I only let companies I would purchase from or feel good associating with advertise. Right now I don't need the money, but my plan is to start a hardware website for maybe a summer and see how it goes. If it goes good, great, otherwise, I'm happy, this would be started out of my home with advertising from those companies in exchange for reviewing of their products or something of the sort.

So what large companies did you drive out of business?

No offense, but I don't think that this is anything great. If you put this on a resume and said that it was Pokemon related, you may be laughed at. But those were the days...put up a website and get paid for advertising :D I had one about online games and had high traffic (before online games became as popular as they are today) back when I was in high school and made a decent amount off of it.

How about you show us the website you made when you were 11 with 10,000 visitors a day (we'll need stats to back that up too).
