yep. simple patrol officer. sit back and play computer in your squad car, eat donuts, read, act like your taking radar, then when you get bored you can always hassle people for speeding or go take care of a domestic dispute in the trailer park.

Bank robbery pays better and you don't end up dying in a state funded hospice from AIDs.

Edit: That was in reply to prostitution, not being a police officer.

Kid, you're 15... you are not going to be getting a 'high profit job'. You honestly think somebody is going to hire a 15 year old kid with no ambition to work for their firm? Why don't you take a job selling bullsh!t, cause you seem to have a surplus of it.

First, I have no clue who you are. Second, you sound like the standard bitch with no options or aftermarket products.

Third, you have no clue who I am or my background. If you want, I'll tell you all about my website I ran years ago with over 10k people a day, I'll tell you about the team of programmers in Germany that did some work for my site, I'll tell you how under many search words, my site was #1 for some time in google search listings all without paying them a dime and #2 or #3 for most of the rest. Oh yeah, I'll tell you about my scripting capabilities, go to www.ankitgupta.com, my website and look at it. Sure the news is out of date along with everything else, but it'll show that I'm committed to school because it matters more than a website. I'll also tell you about how many people come to me for advice on computers and how many people I've put lists together for who bought exactly every part I mentioned.

You wanna argue against someone you don't even know?

an immigration attorney... if you can get through school, you accompany people on citizenship interviews and charge 800-2000$ (the interview is 30mins-1hr).... pretty much you sit there because they are scared and don't know what to expect... It's not a guaranteed job all the time, but you can find other easy lawyer work in the 150-400$/hour range in your spare time

edit: if you're 15.... I'd work at an arcade that does TOKENS ONLY, then you can exchange your tokens with other people's real money! If you get caught its bad... but hey I know a lot of people that have done it and stayed free...

Whoopdi-frickin doo! Do you know where you are? Do you know how many people here have skill equal to and far greater than you? Do you think companies really care what skills you have when you demonstrate the kind of attitude you have? Do you think anybody cares that you were involved in a popular website a while ago? Do you think anybody cares that friends listen to your recommendations in computer components?

I'll say again... you are 15, you obviously have no ambition if you aren't willing to work for your money, and you expect to be able to get some sweet job that pays high while requiring little work? Christ kid, wake up.

you sound like the standard bitch with no options or aftermarket products

What the hell does this mean? No aftermarket products? I, unlike you, have a lot of ambition, and I work hard. I have a full college load, and I also run a pretty successful webstore at the same time. I have worked hard for many years to prepare, and I work very hard now to maintain. Once you grow up a little you'll realize that skills don't matter if you don't have any ambition or motivation to work hard and succeed.

You've convinced me.....

Seriously though many places wouldn't hire you because you're 15. Your age may make insuring you difficult or expensive, and you have all the other hassles that would go with hiring a 15 year old. I actually think it would be hard to get a grocery store to take you even. Fwiw, and don't take this wrong since I'm probably jumping on something that doesn't usually happen, but even if you are gods gift to the IT world, no one will want to have you if you have a habit of flying off the handle and telling people how you've built shuttle guidance computers for nasa with a poptart and a cell phone.

Wouldn't it have been more effective to tell us you made all the parts of your website and not given the credit to german guys? ;)

I got a great idea for an easy job for you. Why don't you start cracking on that "Fast and the Furious 3" script? Can't be that hard, look at who your target market will be...

Just FYI, if you're good, people would be damn glad to pay $35/hour for computer work. The local shop around here (Computer Renaissance, not only do they rip you off but they're morons too) charges $1/minute.

Rgr. I usually charge $40/hour and people are damn happy cuz I'm cheap labor and I actually know what I'm doing. The support calls though ugh, sometimes it's just not worth it.

Web design, now that's high profit. There's freeware alternatives to those that don't want to pay for Macromedia/Adobe for those just getting started but eventually you want all the goodies. Dunno about it being easy though, there's a lot of stuff to read up on to stay current.

Get paid a lot? Where are you talking about? Things being relative, they don't get paid much. Starting pay in this area is $27,000.

first off NOBODY cares about the website you did years ago.

second your attitude sucks. If you want a high paying job then you have to work hard. Unless you are lucky and mommy and daddy own a business you can work for.

third nobody cares that everyone comes to you for computer advice. heck i bet 90% of us here get that.

now if you want a good job makeing good money for being 15 then iwould either do computer tech/building or lawnmowing. i did both growing up. made good money for it. but i did bust my arse at times.

This post is kind of funny.

When I was an undergraduate, I made something about $100/hour...but the hours were fairly limited. What did I do? I sold stuff on eBay. I made an insane amount of cash...so much that now I feel poor in graduate school. :(

Hope this helps...but I'm not sure if it would help you at all since you're only 15.

Also do cold-air inflatable balloons. Every time I touch one I make about $150 and average job time is about 20 minutes. Sometimes I get paid as much as 350 to put one on top of a big store which takes at most 1 hour. 350/hr isn't bad at all. Problem is it takes awhile to get paid, if you F-up you are paying to fix it and you are on call 24/7 while there is a balloon up. In the summer when I am watching over maybe 15 balloons at once it sucks if a storm comes up because I have to go take everyone of them down, but I get paid 75 bucks each to deflat them :).

Become a realtor.. They make 7% on sales of houses..

Imagine if you sell 1 house worth $400,000, you could be making $28,000 for the company (I think half goes to the company.)

Yeah, I know many people here HAVE THE SKILL, but how many have on their own except for one large script done it all on their own? Yeah, I really think companies care about my skills because my attitude online with a person like you making assumptions before knowing me is wrong, if you asked me for information before insulting me I would have. I think people care about a popular website I made and handled. Those few programmers didn't do a whole lot, but they did like it so much, they let it all stay under my name. Yes, I think people care I can reccomend computer parts and have them buy the entire list.

Do I have any evidence? Yes, you know how many companies have talked with me about advertising on my site even though I hardly get many visitors? Plenty. One time I was speaking with the president of the large company. I won't make any names here but I turned them all down so far. There are plenty of reasons why and in my situation it was the best choice.

Ambition? Ambition my ass! I did that 10k people a day website when I was... how old? Hint, I'm 15 now and in 10th grade, started it in 6th grade, peak in 7th grade, closed in 8th grade when advertisers were going out of business. So, wait, I was 11? Yeah I was. Oh yeah, this was a site that drove two professional companies out of business because of competition. What did they do wrong? They relied by far too much of hand work. What did my site do differently? The scripts handled just about everything, which made my life very simple.

cricky: You just keep on arguing over one line, I think you might get somewhere in life if you do it enough.

waggy: He started telling me how I act before even knowing me, I have the right to defend with an attitude I like. If a business man called his boss a prostitute on the first day of work, wth do you expect?

Pudgygiant & virtuamike: I've thought about computer related service, but my problem is I don't want to work for a company on this because I've heard it can get really boring, I mean, in the morning you have 10 computers near your desk, you have to fix all of them. Or, you handle orders and build computers, sure the first one or two can be slightly interesting, but for the most part they get boring from there on. I think about computer sales from time to time though, I won't have to handle problems then.

Zorba: Whats a Carnie?
