Please share your favorite high protein snack and breakfast recipes. Please exclude anything with peanut butter or any kind of nut butter. I am not allergic... just hate PB!

Ive made breakfast egg muffins and they are ok... but get tired of eating them! Need some new ideas for breakfast food as well as snacks durring the day.

My current daily snack/2nd breakfast is a serving of plain greek yogurt with a service of protein powered.

Hard boiled eggs with hot sauce/Sriracha/salt/Mexican seasoning.
Adding a glass of milk to any meal.
Omelet with veggies/mushrooms.
Plain greek yogurt with a little bit of honey to taste.

These are my go-to's.

Breakfast Taco:
1 Large, Low-Carb Tortilla
1 Slice American Cheese
2-3 ounces of ground beef
2 tablespoons of salsa

I like it because it only takes ~2 minutes to make once you've pre-cooked the ground beef.

Microwave the ground beef for 90s.
Pull out a tortilla and put a slice of cheese on it.
Throw the ground beef on and then some salsa, and voila, breakfast is served.

I cook a couple pounds of ground beef on Sunday and eat away at it during the week.

Breakfast - 2 cups of coffee, bowl of cottage cheese, grapes.

Very simple, high protein, and cheap! :)

I usually have my protein shake, bowl of oats mixed with dried fruits (with milk), yogurt, banana and apple. Keeps me full the entire morning.

My standard morning breakfast:

Chump Burger: (top to bottom)
Sweet potato "patty" (topped with garlic salt)
80/20 beef burger
Guacamole
Pan-fried Portabella (sprinkle top with garlic salt, flip upside down onto plate)

Guac is optional, but really adds to the flavor. Recipe is 2-3 avocados, 1 juiced lime, 1 shallot, 1 jalapeno, tablespoon chopped cilantro, 2 dashes chili powder, 1 sprinkle of Tabasco, 1 small tomato (optional), and a dash of Kosher salt.

You can do 90/10 beef or bison as well. 80/20 is just convenient for juiciness. For the sweet potato, I just poke holes in a medium or large one and microwave it for 3 or 4 minutes, flip it, and do it for another 3 or 4 minutes. Then I mash it up in a bowl and place it on top of the burger like a second patty.

For the portabella, use a spoon to scoop out the black gills inside & tear off the stem. Wash the top with a wet paper towel. Fry up for a few minutes per side in olive oil. I'm not a huge mushroom fan, but for some reason this combination is amazing - portabella, burger, sweet potato. Homemade lime guac just puts it over the top, absolutely bananas good. VERY satisfying & really gets your morning going.

Max - why are you using powder milk? Just curious.

It has a couple of advantages for me:

- Its cheaper, here its 52p for 1 litre of skimmed uht milk. However 454g (which can make 4.5 litres of milk, 1 litre needs 100g of powder) is £1.15 which is ~25p per litre.

- Its lighter, I can carry home the equivalent of maybe 80+ litres of milk easily.

- Its adaptable, I can get the nutrition of 1 litre of milk in half a litre of liquid. Just 500ml of water and 100g of the powder. I tend to limit doing this but its something ill do on occasion if i don't feel like tanking a litre of liquid.

The only bad thing about it is the oxidized cholesterol that comes from the powdering process which fortunately isnt an issue for for the skimmed powder milk that i use because it dosent have much cholesterol to begin with as its skimmed so theres far less that ends up being oxidized.

Having this kinda diet in breakfast can really be awesome because that gives the body what it needs.
This post of yours can help a lot of people especially those who are into it.

As a guy who follows a vegetarian diet on occasion, I'd like to point out that there are a bunch of soy protien alternatives to ground beef. Boca (makers of the Boca Burger) is one of the few brands that I've tasted. My daughter is a vegetarian and using a 12oz package in place of 16oz of ground beef when I make my vege-tacos is super easy and a good tasting alternative (of course, YMMV).

On days I do a long run (and am not following a vegetarian diet) I like to make 4 egg whites w/ 2 egg yolks (the 'other' 2 yolks get fried up in olive oil for my dog to eat, she loves them and her coat looks FANTASTIC), I'll throw in some shredded cheese and typically fry up some turkey pepperoni or turkey bacon. If you can forget what real bacon tastes like, turkey bacon tastes AWESOME. If you can't (which I can't) turkey bacon just tastes very good. Toast up a high fiber english muffin or two and use a ketchup / Sriracha mix (just remember to relabel the ketchup bottle or your kid might complain (ask me how I know)).

Some Turky Pepperoni and a jalapeno string cheese stick (lowfat) make a great high protien / low fat snack on my meat eating days.

Im needing to try something new. I switched from a smoothie that I had been doing for 2 years and I dropped 6 pounds in 3 weeks. But I dont feel like I get enough substance before my morning workout now. I might try the breakfast taco idea. Quick and easy and who doesnt love tacos.

Oats. And eggs.

Problem is, the big canister of Quaker rolled oats? It makes me gag. The sheer blandness of it sometimes is too hard for me to swallow. I'm weird. I've attempted to mask it with PB&J, cinnamon, brown sugar, syrup, fruit... nothing works.

My latest strat is to blend the oats with milk and honey or something and just chug it down. So far so good.

mix whey powder with eggs, and maybe some milk.

might want to try something else than cyrosport, as their products can be filled with heavy metals.

maybe stay away from lean pro 8 either. that stuff smells like petrol. they use hexane to make some protein powders.

optimum nutrition seems to be good.

eggs, oats, and milk are always good.

My latest strat is to blend the oats with milk and honey or something and just chug it down. So far so good.

are you drinking the oats down? are you making stovetop or microwave oats? try making the oats, mixing a small amount of milk, honey, and suger, and add either maple syrup or fruit.

also found a website recently called ramano roberts recently that had some interesting information on it. might want to stay away from musclefarm too, considering all thier problems.

-a little hard cheese
-beef jerky or some sort of cured meat
-frozen or fresh berries
-raw vegetables (although I prefer cooked)

also oatmeal eaters might try steel cut oats, much better texture and arguably healthier too

All you need are hardboiled eggs. I eat about 5 or 6 depending on the day, this will also cut your carb consumption on the day much lower and should stave off hunger for at least 4 hours. FWIW I only eat one yolk, if I ate all 6 I wouldn't eat for 5-6 hours I bet.
