High fructose corn syrup - odd weightloss

"Chemical process" is about as vague as it gets. Anyway, I understand what you're saying.

Also, unless I'm misinformed, the white sugar we typically use overwhelmingly comes from sugar beets; not "sugar cane."

That may be true. The US subsidizes corn production and places tariffs on sugar imports, which is the main reason that manufacturers favor HFCS over sugar (it's significantly cheaper).

HFCS is chemcially the same as honey, and produced in the same way. Both are produced from plants, but HFCS is created in stainless steel tanks, while honey is created using enzymes in a bee's digestive track and vomited.

Why some people think that a carefully controlled industrial process is bad for you but bee vomit is good for you is beyond me. Maybe you prefer to use urine to sterilize wounds instead of chemical antiseptic too?

I prefer bee vomit.

What exactly is your problem?
How about this?

I have zero interest in your homosexual fantasies SillyOReilly. But it's quite clear that's something you are interested in seeing as though many of your posts here on ATOT are of a homosexual nature. Sorry pal, I'm open minded but I'm not open ended.

You're nothing but garbage wrapped in skin, but if I recall correctly, you said you were from NY, so that kind of explains a lot.

I'm going to continue to chart my "progress," but I fear that the variables will change. I'm taking slow and steady steps to weight management including working out (from once a week to a goal of 3xs), plus will change my overall diet in steps, so that would muddy up any results. I may also go back on adderrall (for my ADHD, I haven't taken my meds in about a year and honestly used nicotine to compensate), and I always lose a ton of weight on that stuff.

I'm amazed you can just ask for amphetamine and they give it to you. My gf had to go through all kinds of bullshit and loop holes to get treatment for her attention problems.

So did I... Took me a year of non-stimulant try outs (stratera, etc) before my doctor agreed to put me on ritalin at first then adderall

Nah, just helping freedom out with a little insight as to why you feel the need to act like a dick head.

The insight was much appreciated. His attitude's quite peculiar because I basically agree with him (all I did was post one tongue in cheap comment about hippies which wasn't even meant as an insult but a backhanded compliment - 'they're right and I'm wrong!'). Some people just get turned on treating strangers like shit for no apparent reason, apparently.

You are correct - most sugar in the US is beet sugar. I keep forgetting, since I normally buy raw cane sugar (the brown stuff, not the white stuff). But beet sugar is still processed in a very similar way as cane sugar is, and it's sucrose-based.

Beet sugar processing does add a few additional "chemical" steps during purification versus cane sugar (though I'm sure "industrial" production of cane sugar uses all sorts of crap these days too), but it doesn't use any enzymatic action like HFCS does.

Simply put, it's not impossible to get "raw" beet sugar (or cane sugar), unlike any sort of thing such as "raw" HFCS.

I'm not sure how making an inclination towards someone being homosexual is the reason they're a dick head, but I'll allow your apparently irrational thought processes play out. Continue to make yourself look like a horses ass with every idiotic post.

The truth of the matter is I have not a single homosexual interaction in my life, but if I were to be one you most certainly would be the bitch in the relationship.
It's so cute how you have such an internet crush on me, precious.

Actually that was another ATOTers inclination about your particular problem. I'm saying you're posts reeks of dick head-ness for no other reason than that you can.

if you put him on your ignore list you wont miss anything. he's a really bad troll.

basically he just described himself

Ignore it is - it's just really sad to me, that someone would put time and energy into making himself feel better about his insignificant life by shouting insults at strangers... Especially in a thread as benign as this one. 'Get a life!' seems like the right angry thing for me to say, but I sadly don't think that's an option for this pathetic, misguided and spiteful soul.

Don't feel bad - HFCS does indeed have health side effects that normal sugar doesn't. You should try dealing with my son for the next day or two after he's had something with HFCS in it.

But it's all in my head.

Have you done proper controls with cane sugar?

Slightly off topic, but raw cane sugar/brown sugar is delicious.

So is chewing on sugar cane. I used to buy some from a street vendor in the Bronx - it's been a while since I've had some.

Have you ever seen corn in your poo?

Just think about where it goes in liquid form if you can't digest it's normal form. There's plenty of evidence to suggest HFCS is bad for you.

Then look at a few labels and realize it's in everything that's not organic. Course, most people can't afford to eat purely organic.
