100c will boil water.
Which means nothing at all in relation to acceptable chip temperatures.
80C will also boil water if you live in the mountains.
100c will boil water.
So its normal temps or not?Normal in the case of the 4790K covers a wide range of temperatures.
So its normal temps or not?
Somebody said to me"you probably don't have the cpu cooler pins pushed all the way in correctly. check that it is properly installed and all 4 pins/legs are pushed in and click on the back of mobo. that's way too hot for that chip to be running at stock clocks"
So?
Ok so can i play with 90-100C ?Or better not?
I really don't think that the 4790K is designed to run at 100C. I mean, it might "run", as in "throttle to save its life", but it's not designed to run at 100C as a normal operating temperature.

On Prime 95 is throttling from 4,2ghz to 4ghz ( 3990 mhz ).
Temps are 100C.
But in games like Crysis 3 temps oscilating between 90-100C. Can i play with that?
ANd it is normal temps for stock cooler or not?![]()
Last question. Somebody said :"Definitely not normal. Something is wrong with your set up."
So i dont know what to think now. It is normal temps for stock cooler or really something wrong?
Its normal when your motherboard autooverclocks.
The only question left is, why haven't you disabled this in BIOS yet? It was said so already in the start of the thread and you seem to have ignored it.

So i guess that temps are because that stock cooler is just weak?
