i am no longer in texas, i am in korea.

Wow that changes everything. I'm not sure by law they have to have a gambling addiction hotline that you can call for help, like US casinos.

But on a unrelated note, I heard casinos in Korea have more table games than slot machines/video machines, unlike US casinos, where the whole casino is basically slots and video machines. True?

They just opened up the new Hard Rock casino in Hollywood, FL down the road from me and now have a billboard off of the highway close by that is for getting help with gambling if I recall the phone number is 800-ADMIT IT

Just like any other addiction.....get support (if you can) and make up YOUR mind to quit it.

No one is going to be able to quit it for you and if you are serious about quitting
you are going to have to just quit.

Sounds like a cut and dried simple answer but when you get down to it it's the
only solution.

yes. they also have this game with 3 dice under the glass that i really like also.

minimum bet in the casino is 10000W (~8.00 USD)
Are you talking about chuck-a-luck?

"This game is so simple yet the odds are so deceiving. An operator has the odds in his favour and will consistently make money. With three dice the odds of any number coming up are 50 - 50 which pays (correctly) even money. The trick is in doubles and triples which are what the operator wants as much as the suckers who play. Work out how much you would win and lose if you bet an equal amount on every number and a double or triple came up. A double would occur 90 out of 216 (6 x 6 x 6) rolls and a triple would occur 6. The overall house edge is 7.8703%."

Edited to emphasize the "sucker" part.

kinda like that but its some chinese varient, i never gamble on those odds, i always do the 1:1 odd or even. total of the 3 die odd or even. kinda like red/black, odd/even, hi/lo in roulette, but no 0's to mess you up. its a straight up 50/50 odds and payoff, NO house edge.

you must explain the game more then, if there is no house edge, how is the casino making money?

I think the game in question is Tai Sai or in USA, Sic Bo. Chuck a Luck is a similar game, but I believe it has less betting options. Either way, these games aren't too popular in US casinos.

The true money maker for the casino in this game is the sucker bets.
