Glad to hear, Geekbabe. I take it you got tested for COVID when you had the flu like illness.

I owe my life to science & cutting edge medicine. Opdivo has been like a miracle for me, I was pretty sick at diagnosis. I have had side effects, my thyroid left the building years ago, I have low grade eye inflammation, fatigue...but... I am still alive.

we talked about switching me to Keytruda in a dose given only once every six week. I currently get Opdivo every three weeks to try to cut down on the side effects ...we decided to continue riding the horse that brought me this far. Opdivo!
I've seen in the literature and heard from physicians about many of these issues - and it tends to come up a lot when people discuss the merits of targeted therapies with small molecules versus the so-called checkpoint inhibitors that are the primary forms of immunotherapy, or even the need for better therapies. These drugs have done wonders for treating people, but there is so much more work to do (aside: don't get me started on the pricing, as they're just insane).

Stay well!

The price is insane but look what it gave me, five years with my family, my son with autism still living with us, I lived to see him finish college & graduate. I have my first great grandchild...and except for Covid & side effect sick time,I have kept on working.

I always said I am not going anywhere till I get to hold the perfect smartphone...figure I will be here awhile :)

It's great to hear from you. Just keep breathing. I'm coming off of keytruda as, I started to get some bone spots. I'm just as glad because it's been very rough on me. I wish you the best and please let us hear from you when you feel able. God bless.

are they going to radiate your bone spots? Research has shown that radiation therapy has been known to boost the effectiveness of the checkpoint inhibitors like Keytruda and Opdivo
