An answer; may not be the PC one and tick off the Palestinians supporters
Territory is available; not controlled by another country - already bought and paid for by Israeli blood multiple times.

Religious inference is that they should expand into the West Bank as much as possible
1) To help with the trip wire/defense of Israel
2) To expand the settled border of Israel
3) To piss off the Arabs that tried to destroy Israel (payback)

That is where you are wrong EK, it is the UN doctrine of the very entity that created Israel in 1948 that land gained by military conquest is illegitimate. No one, including the USA recognizes any Israeli right to the land Israel is settling on at this time.

As if the UN has done anything.:whiste:

A question was asked and I answered it why such was being done.
No where did I way that is was right or wrong; just that those were the possible reasons.

Yet if you want to bring up the UN & military doctrine; why is not the UN requiring the '48 boundaries. The '67 boundaries were obtained by military action.

Lack of constistency going on WHY?

Or are the '67 borders political to acknowlege that the Arabs were wrong previously?
