... what does a high school class ring cost now a days.

Our babysitter lost her class ring in my back yard and said it cost $400. But she only spent 15 minutes looking for it and hasn't come back in a week.

I personally think shes trying to scam us but my wife thinks she actually lost it.

~$400.00 US is actually a reasonable price depending on the stone & metal lykaon78.

Scam you? Does she want you to pay for it or something?

$400 is incredibly high unless she goes to some elite private school where they have a small vial containing the blood and sweat of an American worker. Maybe $100 tops.

Uhhh... why would you have to pay for it? Oh wait, unless you were drilling her out in the backyard and were so forceful it dislodged the ring. Then id' say pay up. Yes, pay up... and well played, sir.

$100.00? :Q

Why the hell would you even consider paying for it? haha, I just read iamwiz82's post, so I guess that might be worth $400

Why should you buy her a new one if SHE lost it? Stupid ass kid ...

Maybe my high school was just incredibly ghetto, the rings weren't exactly high class but they weren't plastic either...

Also probably have to adjust quite a bit for inflation. Back than a full sized candy bar cost $0.05.

Mine was $370. It was one of the nicer rings balfour offered. I still regret asking my parents to buy me that little trinket which I lost literally months later.

Not sure why the baby sitter losing her ring is your problem. If I went to my boss and told him I lost a $400 item at work he would say "sucks to be you" and walk away.

Got my high school ring a little over 2 and a bit odd years ago now. It was $480. Waste really... I never wear the bloody thing.

No, I think you got that wrong, back in 1999, when you were two years old, Candy at a gas station cost around $1.35 for a medium.

Why are you supposed to pay for it? She lost it, unless you are some how involved in that fact I don't see why it is your fault. Find someone with a metal detector and barrow it if you want to find it.
