I didn't do a whole lot of research before I got mine so I'm not sure. I think mine were about $100 for the macro, wide ange, and zoom lense. It came with the adapter to fit to the camera, lense bags, and an accessory kit that included a little tripod and lense cleaning supplies.

EDIT: oh, and I've had these lenses for about two years I think? I don't really remember. They were a gift from my gf. So, either two years ago today since it's my birthday today or it was a christmas gift.

My best shot. (Cropped a bit) I think I could have gotten closer if I could figure out how to utilize the flash up that close.

Taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ10; 4MP, 12x optical w/image stabilization and a decent macro (I just found out). :p

The reviews say the macro mode is good to 4cm, but this was taken with the lense sitting on the keyboard.

Hmmm, I was hoping you'd get some nice iris lighting action, but I guess that's not happening with your camera.

What kind is it by the way?

Thanks for the pics :D

Canon Digital Rebel XT, no macro lens though. :)
I need to go buy one, I am just being lazy about it...of course I just spent the $$ on the BG-E3 battery/vertical grip so i was king of waiting to get the next purchase...

The eye picture is excellent, but most of you it seems, are not aware of the wonderful world of macro. It's all about seeing familiar things in a new way. I can't remember his name (I think its Novon), but a member here has a wonderful gallery of pictures he's taken with his macro lens.

Purchase a good camera - with the price of the Canon Digital Rebel lowered now that the Rebel XT is around. It makes absolutely NO sense to buy an S2 or any of the oter $300-$400 point-n-shoot cameras out there. For $50-$100 more you have a fulll-fledge machine capable of taking shots nearly like the pros do. AND with the flexibility of lens changes. It's worth the investment. As your hobby grows, so will your camera desires but you'll always have so much power in the Rebel that you'll be growing to fit it!

Buy a nice macro and a nice DSLR and you can take shots like that with your eyes closed (pardon the pun!).

Well, in a thread like this I couldn't miss posting a photo of my eye after a cigarette was stuffed in it by accident.

This was taken with my old coolpix 3200 camers. I now have a 7.2MP Exilim, with which I shall create a new picture of my eye and post it up laters.

Enjoy.

You can get a Rebel XT package going for $550? I had no idea. Link?

I'd be kind of concerned about portability though... I'm not sure if I'd want to lug a DSLR around with me.

EDIT: oh, I see from that revived camera thread that the XT isn't too big. Is that with lense attached? I really don't know much of anything about leses. Does it come with one?
