That wouldn't help. Even if a mosquito landed in amber and was immediate enveloped by it after biting a dinosaur, we would still be out of luck. Although the mosquito would die, it would continue to matabolize the blood it took in, destroying DNA. There was a very good book written about the subject that was called the Science Behind Jurassic Park in which they say it is impossible to clone Dinos from mosquito's stomach contents.

Hey, I'm just kidding. No offense meant (as usual). To eat it? For me, a more practical question is... If I'd be in such a situation w/o food in a deserted place, would I eat someone who has just died to keep myself alive? I can't answer this simple question. Maybe it would depend on whether I'd have sufficient amounts of ketchup or not.

It has been hypothesized that if one were to grind up massive quantities of dinosaur bones one might be able to extract DNA.

I'd hope that cloning is a long way off, cuz' when they start cloning humans...Sure it would be good for the species, but emotionally, we'd all be dead!
