Lol, my bad; switched it that.

thank god too, 190$ dollars is insane.

spend the extra 100 bucks on a better video card or something, the GTX 560 was just announced and you are looking at a 20% increase in performance from the 460 also it will be going for an estimated $260

Release date of January 25th

Not really any purpose considering the monitor I has can only go up to 1336x768..

That is a pretty nice video. Obviously your parts will vary, and he made some brand choices I wouldn't have, and 950W PSU to power a 400W machine isn't my style. As far as the actual building of the machine it is a great video.

DiabloTek PSU? Probably rated 950W, but equivalent to a 500W, given other D-T reviews.

LOL. WD Green drive as the primary drive... for a gaming rig? I have a WD Green 1TB in my HTPC as the primary drive, but that's primarily for heat/noise reasons.

then spend the extra money on a better monitor, i cant stand anything less then 1920x1080 when gaming anymore, i use my old 19 inch as a second display.
That's actually probably a good idea; any monitor recommendations?

also keep in mind I'm not ordering this stuff until Feb/March so are there any new GPUs to look out for?

Gtx 560 is in your price range, and then I would recommend a straight up dell LED in the 22-24 inch range, look for sales around tax time because they want your tax return. Looking at about 200 bucks.

i can't stand anything smaller than a 32" anymore. thats the problem with going larger

I think you should get both, either a monitor now and 460 with a second 460 later or monitor later and 560 now (now meaning when you buy)

I'm getting a monitor now and 460.

If I can find a monitor the price of the one Virtual mentioned in Feb/March I might be able to fit in the 560..Question I have is will the 560 be able to work with my PSU?

If you are going near that price range for monitors, I'd seriously consider something like Dell U2211H for $195. The build quality is very nice, and the color quality (its an e-ips panel, not a TN), while not as important in games as in photo/video editing, it is still quite noticeably better. Otherwise I'd probably just for cheaper ($120 or so) monitor that will be just as good as the one in the link (just visit slickdeals or fatwallet or something like that and wait for a good deal to come around. Shouldn't have to wait for more than week or so for a good deal)
Also, GTX 460 go for <$150 all the time if you look around on slickdeals
