I assume you mean on the laptop referenced in the OP? In that case, you are correct, sir.

On a laptop, two finger tap.

Do you really believe training is the reason? Honestly?
It's because these days Macs are no better than Windows machines, and when supplying an office with workstations why in the world would a company want to pay the Apple Tax and get the exact same machine for double the cost or more?
Do you really believe that Macs and PCs are "the exact same machine"? Honestly?
MotionMan
....just like Lexus and Toyota are the same.
I own one of each. They are not the same.
I am not sure of your point.

A Lexus and a Toyota or a Mac and a PC?
Lexus = Mac
Toyota = PC
Under the hood = same, practical application = same, actual user experience/cost = dramatically different
I own a Toyota, a Lexus, a number of Macs and use PCs at work (formerly owned PCs), so...
Yes.

One is marketed to everyone.
The other is marketed to those who can afford it as "the ultimate driving machine"
Rightly or wrongly, that equates to Microsoft and Apples marketing.
Wong. Macs are not marketed only toward the upper middle class.
True, but in the UK neither are BMW's... 3 Series are very common.
This is America.![]()
True, but I can't speak from an American perspective.
Why do people never take build quality into account when comparing $100 dells to $2000 macs?
not different in America IMO
The same reason why people want low airfare prices, and then complain about fees being tacked on.
Also, I wonder what a Dell ends up costing if you add all the service and support offered by Apple with each Mac?

I meant from a spec point of view. 2gb of ram in a Mac is the same as 2gb of ram in a PC, a 2.5ghz cpu in a Mac is the same as a 2.5ghz cpu in a PC, yet the Mac will cost twice as much. Does that seem right to you? Are you claiming Mac innards are superior?
...and now we're at normal PC v Apple debate
<insert obligatory PC v Apple arguments here>

Maybe you have to pay extra to speak to someone who speaks English with Dell

Apple is no different than other manufacturers.. in terms of service.
