I'm gonna have to agree that the writers' strike killed this season. The last 2 episodes looked like total rush jobs. Really too bad. This season had a lot of promise.

Hiro: Petah Peh-trelly! I went back in time and saw that Adam Monroe tried to release the virus but he was stopped. (Maybe talk about the red-haired girl (Angela) and Kaito).
Peter: Oh shit, so that's why that woman tried to kill me because I was working "with him."

I also think that now the black girl will truly become St. Joan as what was in that comic wasn't her at that point but is what she will become after Nikki died to save her.

I felt like they were missing some usual dialog when Nikki died too.... Typically in these scenes, the other person will ask "where's so-and-so?" and then the building containing so-and-so blows up. It's just typical and it felt off that Micah didn't wonder where his mom was.

I just think that the reintroduction of all-powerful Sylar is disappointing. He was last season's boss and now we have to put up with him again? Atlhough based on the idea of "Volume III: Villains", I think that some people may join up with Sylar and you may have true groups forming up. Your X-Men vs Magneto so to speak :p.

peter's attitude throughout everything was kind of puzzling. i guess he really put a ton of stock in the fact that adam saved nathan. then again, hiro didn't help the situation. instead of trying to convince peter that adam wants to release the virus, hiro just talks about him killing his father and wanting revenge. well from peter's perspective, that isn't reason enough for him to let hiro go through with it, since everyone sees the company as being evil.

i think with the whole nikki thing, monica was so concerned w/ making sure micah was ok that she really didn't give him a chance to ask where his mom was. it definitely tied her with DL since he was able to use his powers to survive a fire, but she couldn't so she died being a hero (like he would have done).

i'm apprehensive about sylar being the main bad guy again, but at least they can do it from a completely different perspective. for most of season 1, no one knew exactly who he was or what his powers were, etc. and even mohinder spent a lot of time with him without knowing it. now that everyone knows about him and what he can do, they can approach it a bit differently. and i definitely see them having more bad guys to go along with sylar other than the company in the next volume.

I think it's that Peter became even more of the "lost puppy" in this season. He was always dependent on his brother in season 1, but without him around until the last episode, he latched onto Adam instead like an obedient little pup.

I think the possible problem is that having mysterious bad guys gives us a sense of bewilderment (hopefully... not as much this season though). I think the only way you can do this next season is put a bad things happening that we naturally pin on sylar but it will end up being someone else... kind of introductions to the new villains (supposing that we'll have some as that's what plurality suggests :p).

NATHAN NOOOOOOOOOO! Why couldn't they kill off Maya, or Monica, or West? BTW, didn't mention it, but I called a dead blonde at the end of the season as soon as they introduced Elle. Can't have three blondes :p

I hope they kill off parkman, maya, and monica.... they are the least interesting characters in the story. If Hiro had died, the show wouldn't be worth watching next season.

I don't understand why we're even considering him killed off? Claire's blood saved Noah with no problems, her, or Peter's blood could be the remedy for Nathan? shrug. I agree though, damn why didn't they kill any of the three you mentioned. Ali Larter.. noooo! I guess they might just go the route with Mikah and Monica living together now - it'll give them a subplot to find the kid who burned the building (if they don't have the police nab him). shrug.

- everything hiro does. he is by far the most worthless pile of crap with a power I have ever seen. the ability to manipulate time is the most powerful thing you could do but he manages to under-utilize it in literally every situation.

The only 2 characters I like in this show anymore are Noah and Syler, because they actually have brains. I hope season 3 involves them killing all the heroes off, otherwise I probably won't watch it.

Well if peter read adam's mind, phased, and hiro did the common sense thing then there would be no drama at all... and no TV show. They have to do these things to fit the storyline, you can't expect the characters to do logical things otherwise you have a boring show.

i had such high hopes when it started. it was dope to see them all using their powers instead of just discovering them.

then the season turned to shit

I'm glad season 2 is over. It was too slow at the start, then all over the place with some seriously weak sub-plots which didn't leave much room for anything weighty to happen. It became a chore to watch and enough with the rez'ing already... The writers strike didn't help but TK admitted they screwed up the first part of the season. I hope season 3 picks up the pace in a big way.

More like the last 4 or 5. They all seemed jumbled together and frantically trying to come to some sort of ending. You could see hints of things they were maybe trying to build on that were all tragically cut and spliced. Wish they would have just ended whenever they had no more script and not tried to rush the season. Would have much rather waited for the full story months from now then this garbage heap they gave us.

NBC put up commentary for the finale here. the big change in the episode was that the virus was supposed to be let out and nathan was supposed to be infected by it.

Just started watching the last episode.

Was that a faint ticking clock in the background at the beginning with the first appearance of Sylar?

Neat trick by Peter to stun Hiro. Somewhat surprised Adam didn't even try to put more of a smackdown than just taking the sword back.

Daddy little girl takes another emotional breakdown and starts looking for a friend. This could be an interesting plot twist.

Peter letting Adam play butcher, that seems to be stretching the naive friendship a little bit.

Nice job getting Sylar on the video feed. Elle going for the rescue as wounded, not so good.

Man... I was hoping the big change involved the virus getting out, but Sylar also dying once and for all. Mohinder is such a stupid-ass.

They did the clock sound a few times since he joined up with them.

Why is it every time Peter starts to go bad ass it's in the last half of the last show of the season.

Now a dropping vial gives him a chance for salvation.
