In yesterdays episode, she says this exactly, when speaking to Peter.

You're more powerful than us all.
If that doesn't answer it...

Has to be a mental power. Her mental interactions with Matt and her possible restimulaation of Peter's memory (the anti Haitan) lead me to this conclusion. The true scope of the mental abilities has not been revealed. I believe Matt, his father, and the Petrelli matriarch all shared this trait, Matt just hsn't figured out the extent of his power.

And now it looks like Nathan is getting back into the game once Bob talks about Peter. Looks like these episodes are now starting to ramp up.

what i don't get is how kensei was able to keep track of everything for hundreds of years. leaving the note for peter, finding him the moment he teleported back, etc. etc.

It's entirely possible that they've had dealings that Peter can't remember, and we weren't privy to.
I really need to catch up on the graphic novel, I think.

watch the preview for the next episode on youtube. i'll summarize the basic idea

*spoiler*

ok so by now we all know kensei = adam. we also know the company had adam imprisoned up until he escaped "2 weeks ago." from the preview you see adam and peter talking while they are both held captive so it's safe to say they met there. i'm sure adam had the place in montreal before being captured, so it was an easy place for a reunion. it's not that he found him the moment he teleported back, but that he was there waiting for him. maybe he just didn't want to reveal himself w/ the girl there.

So about half of the 8 pictures have now come true? And it's starting to get awfully complicated it seems. To go up top of that, haven't seen recent mention of Sylar.

Peter zaps Adam at the end, I guess he doesn't need to be real close or actively aware of a power to absorb it.

I'm pretty sure that's the same power he exhibited when they found him in the cargo container.

Next week will be a flashback episode, 4 months.

When the clock turns back four months for all of the Heroes, Nathan pays a terrible cost for his heroic actions. While Peter survives his detonation over New York City, the Company "bags" him as a threat to the world, eventually leading to violent confrontation with Elle (Kristen Bell) and the Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis). D.L. (Leonard Roberts) makes the ultimate sacrifice for Niki (Ali Larter) and Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey). Maya (Dania Ramirez) horrifically manifests her dark powers for the first time, driving her and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) to America for help. A mysterious, yet familiar face is introduced.

David Anders, Jack Coleman, Dana Davis, Greg Grunberg, James Kyson Lee, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy also star. Carlon Jeffery, Nichelle Nichols and Stephen Tobolowsky guest star.

Anyone have a link for the preview?

I saw it at the end of the last episode I just finished watching, looks like it will pretty much pick up from the end of last season finale and pick through the remaining events as a catchup to where we are now.

Preview Hereos: Four Months Ago

Preview above.

So is Ned Ryerson a good guy or bad guy? It seems as if Adam is going to trick Peter into thinking that the company is dangerous because they have the virus and they must be stopped. This is why Peter decides to help Adam. But Adam has other intentions for the virus.

I have one question. In the preview video, is Peter kissing Elle or Nicky? It looks more like Elle to me but in season one, when they showed the future, Nicky and Peter had a relationship together.

Anyone get the feeling that there was a mixup at the hospital? Claire would seem to be Adam's daughter and West would be Nathan's son, at least according to the powers they have in common. Matt has the same powers as his father so it seems like powers are passed down to their kids.

Micah has neither of the powers his parents had. The Haitian doesn't have the powers his father did, Peter/Nathan don't have the powers their mother/father has.

EDIT: And there was no "mixup", as Claire was adopted, not born into the family. Plus, they're not the same sex and those mixups are...rare.

Agreed. Though, since I'm sure it bothers a lot of people (including me), I hope they find a plausible way to explain why having a power is inheritable but not necessarily which power.

Recessive genes... you either have them or you dont. People with powers do

*superpower recessive genes for those that would nitpick my omittance of that clause

Which brings me to my question, and I am too lazy to read through the entire topic.
I had thought that Peter was trained to use his "borrowed" powers by remebering the people he gained them from.
How, when he had amnesia, was he able to remember those people?

That may have been his trigger last season, but it doesn't mean it's the only way for him to activate them.

Well he used his powers a lot on accident in the first season, so it makes sense he can use them on accident again this season (He flew without knowing season 1, he healed himself after falling with sylar and didnt know he'd heal, etc)

Right, but that doesn't really explain how it is determined which power they get, just that they have a power. I'm going to assume there's a high chance of spontaneous mutation between generation. *shrug*

Heard on the radio that Heroes episode 11 this season is being redone because the show might have to end because of the writers strike.

What power does the Hatian's dad have?
