Flip Flopper?? He changes his mind more then a Alzheimer patient. 😉
All politicians do that, though. All you need to win an election now is rhetoric and promise to be better than the last guy. If it's Romney vs Obama it does depend highly on the economy. If it's still crap Obama will have a very hard time defending it.

Obama also is looking better in matchups against potential Republican nominees:
47 - 42 percent over Romney, compared to a 46 - 42 percent Romney lead October 5;
52 - 36 percent over Perry, up from a 45 - 44 percent tie last month;
50 - 40 percent over Cain, who was not included in a matchup last month;
52 - 37 percent over Gingrich, who was not matched last month.

I don't recall that being the case - from what I recall the Enquirer was the only one with evidence, and they ran the story as soon as it was corroborated - though I did think the National Enquirer deserved a Pulitzer for breaking the story.

I will say there is a difference between philandering and sexual harassment, however. I am in no way defending Edwards or his behavior (I think he's a complete sociopath and dirtbag), but many (most?) politicians cheat on their wives with willing mistresses, whereas sexual harassment is not a consensual act from the victim's perspective.

There were a lot of innuendos and whatever going around, but there wasn't any solid evidence. No reputable news organization would have published a story about a major candidate on what they had at the time because it would be ruinous to them if they were wrong.

Not that there's any point in attempting to refute the conservative article of faith that the media is forever victimizing them. Each time they are shown to be wrong they simply retreat and then bring up a new issue a few weeks later. Can't shake that old time religion.

Because someone, probably Perry or Romney or related to their campaigns, doesn't want Cain to win.

The dems would wait until he's the candidate first.

why wouldn't the dems play their cards now on the top 5 GOP candidate hopefuls, that way whoever gets put up against obama is weak?

That's paranoia? Sounds like a terrorist organization to me.

The question was asked if anyone would let something like this fall by the way-side if Obama was the key component. His affiliation (however small it may or may not have been) with a terrorist organization didn't seem to be a big deal.

Judging by your reactions, apparently, blind support of a candidate is perfectly acceptable when he/she aligns with your particular views.

Amazing.

They're all weak. Paul the weakest, then Cain, Bachman next, and then Perry...

Rommey, the dog fancier, is your lead man....

I don't think so. I thought Elliot Spitzer's behavior, IIRC transporting the prostitute across state lines, was an alledged (federal) felony crime (the Mann Act). Furthermore, IIRC he resigned under of impeachment. This is not really similar, much less 'the exact same', as Vitter.

I'd guess Vitter's use of a prostitute is a misdemeanor, but IIRC it became known only after the Statute of Limitations had expired. And, IMO, Vitter is in office because his voters kept him there. But then again, he's from LA so no real surprise.

Wow you really justified your argument in a political context. So staying in office is determined by which state you stick your dick in the hooker. One can say the Dems did the honorable thing and resigned. Divid Vitter ran on family values and...well...you know the rest.

BTW - Vitter is Sen from Louisiana

I think Cain should submit to a lie detector test and put this thing to bed!
hehe, nothing says presidential material like having broadcast video of you being hooked up to a lie detector asking if you did or did not imply that a woman had to give you a bj to get a job.

Yeah doesn't that make you want to throw up?

A second accuser has come forward to identify herself - this was the woman who received a $45K settlement (or, in Cain-speak, "agreement") from the NRA: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/herman-cain-accuser-identified/story?id=14905460#.TrnaBmCft24

For what it's worth I just watched the Jimmy Kimmel appearance from last night and I thought for the most part Cain acquitted himself well. At one point he referred to the behavior Bialek has accused him of as "silliness," which was a poor choice of words, but otherwise I thought he did fairly well.

Can't resist based on pattern...
