1. Don't eat out; if you do, sign up for Idine, it knocks 20% off your total bill from many restaurants.

2. Stop buying computer stuff unless it's super-necessary. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

3. Before you buy ANYTHING, from a pair of shoes to a new video card to a magazine, really think about how much you want it, how much you need it, and will it REALLY impact your life if you do or do not get it. If it's a purchase above $20, sleep on it. You may realize that you can do without.

I stopped buying stuff from ebay, from the forsale forums, etc.. and I've been saving a couple hundred a month, and I haven't regretted it at all.

That's nothing, really. I just payed mine yesterday to the tune of $894.73. About $600 of that was computer parts for my new PC.

If you eat out a lot buy one of those "entertainment" coupon books, use it 2-3 times and it pays for itself.

There are two kinds the cheaper ghetto kind $10 with no fancy restaurants (I prefer this one) then there's the fancy all out $40-$50 Entertainment coupon which is thicker but costs 4 times as much. My $10 ghetto coupon book has coupons for 3 pizza places, Carls Jr, Wendy's and even Gym Memberships, w00t!

Pay min on your credit card bills and build cash (if you can), to go only debit for non-expensive purchases.

For me, I hate spending my REAL money. That plastic money is ALOT easier to blow.

You have a Hot Deals addiction, my friend. It's ok. We're here to help.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a relatively benign credit card bill?

Nope I'd have to agree, without any computer/hot deals stuff my monthly cc is $300 plus computers/hot deals stuff.

You need to run to OfficeMax, spend another $3 for a pair of scissors and $2 for a marker. You will be all set :)

serialb has the idea...CUT IT UP

I've done it my self.

A friend of mine did something else she put her cards in a zip-lock bag then put them in a bowl of water and put the whole thing in the freezer.
She didn't cut them up, but she has a lot of work and time ahead of her if she feels the urge to use them

Actually, it's damned tiny. The purchases listed don't total much more then the last payment.
