Exporting MAGA to the world. You see when corporations are people they make a business decision as how to feed their infants. That would be formula.

It's been this way since before you were born and not limited to any administration. This one is just less sneaky.

Oh it was Ecuador we threatened for introducing this motion. When they dropped it the good guys, that is the Russians proposed the same thing and we STFU.

When women breast feed their infants, it is like they are stealing from the multinationals. That is money that could be used for campaign contributions fer Christ's sake. Won't you think of the hapless politicians for a moment?

You sir have discovered the base cause of most of our problems.

The Obama administration was for this, good for them. They were good except when they weren't. Pretending that you are pure and everyone else isn't doesn't line up with facts. Certainly Trump is all stupid greed isn't contested. The topic uses the latest farce to illustrate a larger point, that our polls are owned without many exceptions.

Not surprising, that's why I import formula from the EU. Every single fucking formula here has some type of soy in it (usually Soy Oil) which I don't want my kid drinking. I understand that it's the number 2 cash crop but the lobbying by US infant formula companies is like a monopolistic cartel and lowers our choices as parents. Bottom line is always check the ingredients of your food, DYOR, and make informed decisions based off of factual research.

It’s cheaper for the parents and it’s better for the baby. Breastfeeding is known to decrease medical problems for babies.
From my research the main advantage of breast milk is immunity of the intestinal tract. TMK Breastmilk has antibodies that can't be emulated by formula which protect the intestines when kids are young.

This is Republican America. But be civil to them.
Repub America wasn't the one who put soy into all of our babies' formulas, which has been banned in other countries for over a decade.
In 2005, Israel's health ministry recommended that soy products be limited in young children and, if possible, avoided altogether in infants. In issuing such a caution, Israel joined France, New Zealand, and Australia in officially embracing a better-safe-than-sorry approach...

Who was running the US in 2005? You know, the party we are supposed to be civil to :)

I get that, but isn't that the job of the medical field? Just sounds like a government overreach to me.
You mean the "overreach" is not US government blackmailing other governments to withdraw a resolution supporting something that the medical field agrees is a good thing?

We know you don't care what's done, just who does it so you response was predicted.

Please. The GOP is incapable of doing the right thing in a lot of situations because, for them, it's all about the money. This episode shows that rather clearly, as you point out.

The Obama admin took the opposite tack, recognizing that baby formula is a poor choice for poor mothers everywhere. That's still most of the world, sad to say. One of the great vicissitudes of being poor is that they never know how much money they'll have at any given time while using formula really demands a steady income. A woman's milk won't come back just because she's broke. There have been major scandals wrt the practices of baby formula makers-

Anytime the GOP wants to get on the right side of this I'll cheer them on. Until then you can take your bothsiderism & accusatory bullshit & shove it where the sun doesn't shine.

I understand your morally bankrupt position. That's how you defended the needless imprisonment of thousands. It's always someone else, but you and the GOP own what you support and refuse. Perhaps Schumer could shoot someone in the street and you'd find a way to blame someone else.

Same old song.

BTW, Bush was working with a group to provide cheap supply of malaria meds and probably HIV, but Obama took over and his administration killed it. Naturally Trump is responsible.

Nevertheless it all backs up what I was referring to and that is DC is run by these types of people and the baby formula nonsense is the latest and painfully obvious example.

Might be time for some further left to get some control so we might make some legal changes in business as usual before money and power infects them.

And now the double triple down on the bullshit allegations w/ a nice duh-version, too. I oppose any efforts to increase baby formula use by poor women anywhere, which is exactly what the Trump admin has supported.

I haven't supported the needless imprisonment of thousands, either.
