The guy in the first video is carrying a rifle slung to his back. Can't tell if it is loaded or not... Purely doing it just to rile police. Why? Why would you do that? Do you not have enough strength of character that you have to demonstrate it to others?

I just don't understand. He was probably being checked out because someone was worried so he has decided that stressing other Americans is his right as well?

It's disgusting, no matter if it is his right or not.

While i think the guy is a idiot. You don't need a fucking reason to use your rights.
 
Ok folks... next time you see anyone with a gun, don't call the police. The person is probably just exercising their right... up until you get shot.

BTW, I'm not arguing that it isn't his right... I am arguing that even though it is his right, he is being morally irresponsible and stupid. It is also the right of others in his vicinity to feel safe, hence the police.

He would be one of the main reasons that those fighting for their rights look like morons and DBs. He brings down the cause of others.

Do me a favor..go to a non-bed wetter state (hint: most of them), and call 911 every time you see someone with a firearm. Record it for us.

I absolutely will call the police, IF that person is behaving suspiciously. Walking down the street with a rifle strapped to his back isn't threatening in any way - except to people who have an unreasonable fear of guns.

Your fear doesn't make his actions wrong in any way.
 
His actions are wrong in that make others fear him. This is the world we live in. You don't carry a rifle in what looks like a neighborhood. It should be in a case being transported to and from the range.

The ONLY reason he is doing this is to exercise his right. Again, I don't disagree with his right, the way he is going about expressing it is irresponsible.

Rights trump your "fear" of them.

People fear interracial couples, homosexuals, people of different skin color....it doesn't mean legal behavior needs to be altered to accommodate it.

Fear of a gun that's strapped to a person's back is not reasonable. If he were carrying it in his hands, that fear would be reasonable, but he's not.

If you saw it happening frequently, with no adverse consequences, that fear would go away.
 
I don't agree with those types of people throwing their rights in my face either. I agree that those rights need to be protected and fought for but not irresponsibly.

I sometimes carry concealed, I am not irresponsible. Any encounter with police I am polite and respectful and it always ends fine, I am usually gone in 5 minutes. This guy is just doing everything he can to be difficult.

I agree with his right, I disagree with how he is defending that right. Essentially taking away someone else's right (case could be made for disorderly conduct) just so he can film himself defending his.

I saw someone with a gun in my store today. He was legally open carrying it in a holster on his hip. He bought a few items from me and left. Neither of us felt the need to mention anything about the gun. I was sorry to see him go, because for the brief time he was in my store I was probably a little bit safer from the real criminals who could come in at any time.

You generally don't have to worry about the guy walking around with a gun in plain sight. It's the guy with the gun stuffed down the back of his jockey shorts that's more likely to shoot you, and you're not going to see it until he's ready to use it.

You are one of those holier-than-though CCW holders who don't like any open carry because of your little segmented "club" that the .gov put you in.

Get your head out of the sand and defend all 2A rights, because where the hell do you think they are going next?
 
I am not worried about the guys walking around with guns in plain sight. Its the guys like the one in the video. What was he doing? He was walking around with the rifle on his back in what appears to be a neighborhood, I guarantee he is doing it to get a rise out of someone so he can film them. Of course some housewife is going to call the cops on him.

The guy in your store, he's the correct kind of person. He isn't drawing attention to it, it's just a part of his life. The guy with the rifle is just the wrong kind of person to further the cause of gun rights.

Just to be clear, I am not scared of guns. I just think the people who act the way that guy acted, just to confront police and claim to defend their rights are irresponsible and should not be held up as examples.
