Hello everyone. I've been walking a lot as of late and have been losing a lot of weight. I have run into an issue. I've probably pulled my calf muscle (hopefully nothing worse than that), and I can hardly even walk right now. What are some non-leg use exercises I can do to keep the momentum of my weight loss going while my leg heals?I have no exercise equipment, and can not afford any of the gyms in my area at this time.

Weight loss is a calorie thing. Watch your eating and the excercise is hugely of second consideration. You don't need to walk an inch to lose weight if your diet is in the right spot.

I'll give it a shot and see if it helps. As it is at the moment, I can hardly walk. It's been getting worse the past 3 days, and started out as a pain on the joint right behind my big toe.

As far as my diet, it's been the same every day for 3 months now. Cup of oatmeal, cup of black coffee, and a small array of vitamins for breakfast. Light soup, a banana, and some more vitamins for lunch. Dinner is usually a meat and veggies, I am being good with smaller portions. So far so good.

if your calf is holding you back and you still want to do cardio, try a rowing machine. Your foot stays flat and AFAIK it doesnt stress your calfs except for the stretch when your ankle flexes.

You could also look into doing barbell/dumbbell complexes for cardio. IE do super light weight for lots of exercises in a row. You could do OHP to shoulder flys to curls to tricep extensions to...whatever you can work that doesnt hurt your calf.
