No sh!t. I like to just hit my little shortcut, and BAM, the game starts. Just like it should.Originally posted by: mattg1981
I always get no-cd cracks for games ... and I always buy legit retail games. I HATE! switching cd's just to play a game.

It sounds like there is something wrong with your system. Your system is at least twice as fast as mine, and I get good framerates, and very, very minimal jerkiness...and then, only when 'flying' into a new scene (such as the neighborhood). I only have a AXP 1700+ and a Radeon 9600 Pro.

I gave you the solution you said "smoke this" too bad the problem is not EA the problem is yours...
I support "engineers and programmers" like you all day long .. programmers and engineers are soo hardheaded they never listen anyway.. that just about figures.. love when I prove them wrong on support... they kinda swallow and hate to admit defeat..
specially when I fix thier problem in 2 secs that they ddint want to call the help desk for and spend 4 hours trying to fix themselves =P
if the game runs well on other systems.. this is not the fault of the company... that is the fault of the consumer for not staying up to date or knowing how to tweak thier system to stay current..
windows 2000 is a 5 year old OS now.. time to join the 20th century...

no...
there was a Huge difference in that kernal
and they are not even close to the same OS...
btw its not considered anywhere anymore as NT 5.1
you put that on a cert test and they would laugh you into the fail line =P

Windows 2000 & XP share the same driver model. It's no coincidence that drivers are offered for the 9x platforms and for 2000/XP/2003.
Um wrong again ronald... just becuase you get a driver that has multiple OS's supported does not mean it favors all...
there are usually different .inf files within those drivers

Windows XP is a four-year-old OS, what's your point?
um retard.. windows 2000 has been around since 1998 I tested it..
it was released in 1999 to the public...
and do some freaking math idiot... what date is it today...
we are almost to the end of another year.. the OS is actually almost 6 years old if you want to get technical..
Also, this is the 21st century, "smacktard".
ya and? this OS was written before the milleneum....
therefore my statement is correct...

Wrong. XP uses an extremely similar kernel to 2000. See my comment above about driver similarities. When XP first came out, surprise surprise, half the 2000 drivers worked perfectly with the new OS. If they'd changed the kernel as much as you think they did, then that wouldn't be the case.
By the way, it's kernel. Kernal is something completely different.
Go back and play in your sandbox, I think I saw someone steal your dollie.
