depending on what software your using it for 1333 ram can be a fair performance hit to the cpu
2x8g 2400c10 may be a larger speed gain than your oc to 4ghz
but going to 16g wont help until your using over 8g
I can't see DDR3 disappearing for a long time yet. Decent e-tailers are still selling DDR2 and DDR1.
Still running this on a X5680 at 4.5, I doubt would hurt it too much.
It's an older X58 Tri memory I guess.

We're probably 5 years away from that stage.Right...but it goes so high in price you would be an idiot to pay for it.
From the articles I read they say just stick with 1333 cause the difference in performance is almost nill.
