Hi.
I have an old system (i7-870 and AMD 6970) and i need a new psu. Max load wattage according to outervision calculator is ~500 w and minimum recommended ~550 w. Now where i live my choices are limited. I can find a few descent low budget psu's like the ones below
1.Be Quiet System Power 9 600W - Bronze
2. Be Quiet System Power B9 600W - Bronze
3. Be Quiet System Power 9 600W CM - Bronze
4. CoolerMaster MWE 600 White 230V - V2
5. Corsair CV550 - Bronze
6. Corsair CV650 - Bronze
7. EVGA 600 W1 - White
8. Thermaltake Hamburg Pro RGB 550W - Bronze

if none of the above is not recomended, for a few more euros i can also choose one of the
1. Corsair CX550 - Bronze
2. Be Quiet Pure Power 11 600W - Gold

Which one do you think it fit my needs and which you prefer?
Thank you.

Be Quiet Pure Power 11 600W looks good, you must have a killer system if you need 550w! 1080ti gfx?

Some people like a little headroom in their PSU, not to mention lower temperatures from a PSU not constantly running at 90%+ of its maximum output.

Do the people who claim you definitely don't need a more powerful PSU think they use more electricity, or that it has to match the calculated output of their components? Efficiency is much better at lower loads.

So, i raised my budget a bit and now i m between
1. Seasonic CORE-GM-650
2. Corsair TX-M Series TX650M
Both cost the same. Which one you suggest?

The Thermaltake 600w psu in my system is doing fine but if I ever had to upgrade it like for a 3090 video card upgrade I could be in for a problem. Because in my pre built CyberTron midtower pc it appears the psu it encased in a metal cover that's riveted to the frame. It's good you can remove yours easily.

I bought the Corsair TX650M Gold a week ago. It looks like a quality product and makes zero noise. As for the durability, time will tell.
Thank you all 🙂
