So I have the DFI P-965-S Dark, and I'm trying to overclock an e2140. All the guides I've read state that all you have to do on this board is set NB Strap to 266 and set Ram to 533, resulting in 1:1, but this simply isn't the case for me.
@Currently, ram is running at 800, and fsb is only set to 300.
I am stumped because I don't know what settings to change. I've tried messing with the cpu features to no avail. I have all cpu features disabled, except for execute bit.
I know it can do 1:1 with the e2140, because A: previous owner of this board/cpu had it at 1:1 @ 3.2ghz (400fsb), and B: I had it at 1:1 before! This was when I was having driver issues with Vista, and I didn't bother to look too much into it. I was having this same issue, updated bios, messed around with it. One day I went into BIOS and I noticed it was running at 1:1, so then I bumped the fsb to 350, so ram ran at 700.
Recently reset the bios, and back at square 1. I just wanna know how this board works! Maybe I'm missing something very fundamental that you guys can fill me in...
