for subs the best company is Rockford Fosgate they have a dual voice coil and are stable down to 1 ohm >>
Subs being
stable to 1ohm?
Only amps can be stable to 1ohm, drivers create the impedance load depending on how they're wired, it's up to the amp to handle the load (and for the drivers to be able to handle the power the amp spits out)
And you will quickly learn RF is pretty crappy.
One of the better SPL subs is the
Blueprint Drivers 1803
A solid 1kw of power handling, plus so much excursion it's not even funny.

RF's punch power dvc 15 inch will pretty much kill a a mtx in the same price range >>
Subs that will smoke RF's or MTX's in that price range:
15inch Dayton DVC
15inch Adire Audio Tempest
Though it's not a 15, the
12inch Peerless XLS car version sub would also teach the RF's/MTX's a thing or two.
My point: many of the "higher end"/popular brands (Infinity, RF, MTX, going to an extreme, Bose) are overpriced.
But hey, someones gotta pay for advertising...the consumer :Q
As for your dilemma.......
I've heard a LOT of good things about the Diamond audio set.
Besides, only the front's need to be really good, the rears should never play bass or highs to begin with. You can do this with a simple capacitor and coil wired to the rear speakers (PM/email me for more info if you wanna do that). It'll really help your soundstage, imaging, and in general, sound quality a lot.
