I'd lean more towrads the last interpretation. Please people, the fact that he is Vietnamese, male, 18 years old, or lives in Seattle has no significance on his actions.

It's so simple, Don't you people get it? I can't believe all of you are making such a stir about it!

Q: How easy is it to open an account on a forum somewhere?
A: Pretty Damned easy!!

Q: How many people are proud of their heritage?
A: Everybody *I* know or have run across in my life!

Q: How many people are also proud of the city in which they live?
A: I would guess a vast majority, but if someone were trying to obtain money, he sure as HE!! would make sure you could find out where to send the money!!

If *I* were burned by a person who was an 18-year old Vietnamese guy living in Seattle, you can bet your @ss I would certainly be watching out for any OTHER members who were 18-year old Vietnamese guys living in Seattle, simply because it could be THE VERY SAME PERSON!!!! It has NOTHING to do with any kind of "racial" bias--IT HAS TO DO WITH COMMON SENSE!!

By the way, this guy has a BAD habit of "stealing" posts from other forums, and posting them on other forum, INTENTIONALLY leading them to believe that *HE* "discovered" them. He did this to ME when I discovered the $200 HP computer at CompUSA over Memorial day weekend, and he's done the very same thing to OTHER posters, both here AND on Fatwallet. My opinion of this person is that he's nothing more than a "scam artist", and I developed that opinion when he tried to take credit for my "find"; it won't soon change, I can guarantee that! I can't stand liars and thieves!! I hope he gets all that's coming to him, and I DON'T mean GOOD things!!
 
In most threads I have come across that involve racial comments, I find it saddening that people actually convince themselves that the comments have no racial undertones. My favorite story was the debate over the term 'rice'. For those of you unfamiliar with the sport car aftermarket, the terms basically means fixing up a car or slapping stickers on one to make it look tacky. Many can argue the actual precise definition but that's not the point. The point is alot of people (mainly caucasians) claim that the term originated and was applied to everyone since everyone eats rice. Umm I don't think so. Long story and analogy, but you get the point. If you are going to make comments like that, stand behind them. Don't try to justify your ignorance by playing it off.
 
I thought the whole point of this thread was to organize a mob to beat...I mean convince the guy to return the stolen money...

Instead we are parsing out other peoples posts to determine who the biggest racist is in the name of political correctness.

We need to focus on tracking the guy down, not attacking each other.
 
Ok guys you know those deals with the digital cameras? give this guy a beatdown and take pics! I will pitch in $5 to whoever beats this fool up and takes some pictures, also tape a piece of paper to him saying something like "dont FUC with ANANDTECH BEOTCH" (along those lines!). Bring it on!!!

BTW the payback date has been switched from Monday to Wednesday, says he has to wait until the checks clear. Wonder how long it will take the people to have their money returned.
 
question, just how hard is it to make another user id and be anonimous? Couldn't he just get a different computer, and it ip is different.
