Hello everyone,
I just spend like $700 to build a new computer to play doom3. However, it doesn't work well at all and I am really disappointed. Could someone look at my spec or tell me what I can do to improve the performance?
My system is
Athlon 64 2800+ with Zalman cooler
Antec 430w power supply
Chaintech vnf-250 motherboard
512mb PC2700 ram ( waiting for pc4000 one to come)
BFG 6800 OC
Maxtor 120GB ata133
on-board sound
asus 48x12x48 cd-rw
microsoft keyboard + razor mouse
running windows xp mostupdated, directx9.0c, nvidia 6117(most updated driver)
For doom 3 performance, I get acceptable performance at high quality 800*600
and ultra high quality is 1024*768 makes the game lags a lot
the worst if I can to scan the system to determine the system setting, it says 640*480
(v-sync off, aa off)
Please some one help me out here
