Pay attention to the heatsink contact. Your mobile doesn't have the normal heatspreader on top, so the cpu die (where the heatsink makes contact) sits lower than a regular athlon 64. Some folks remove the 4 bumps on the corner of the plastic heatsink bracket so the heatsink sits closer to the cpu for better contact. The default cpu voltage should be around 1.2 or less for a mobile. Your board may not recognize the cpu, and read "unknown cpu" when posting. That's ok. If it does, check your settings. Your cpu fsb should be 200, and the memory should be at 166 (pc2700) or 200 (pc3200).

Do you have cool and quiet enabled? If not then a bios update will help.

Removing the four bumps wont do anything without grinding down the screwpegs as well.

I think your CPU is running at the lowest P-state possible (4x multiplier, 1.1v) so either you have cool and quiet enabled (in the bios) or your motherboard needs a bios update.
