HELP!!! p4 heatsink feels like it will break the cpu

Guys, whatever fits your case - I don't care anylonger. Have your warped mobos and be happy with them. Mine is - and always will be - straight.

Or do it like mechBgon says - "If it ain't broke... fix it 'til it is broke, so you've got an excuse to upgrade! "

So, experienced builders say it's ok... An Intel employee says it's ok... Even Intel says it's ok...

But none of that is good enough for you?

Btw, setting the board on a flat surface would have nothing to do with the pressure points made by the heatsink retention device.

ALL p4 boards bend a bit,it's a fact of life!!!

Jalapeno please prove your point,take your mobo out and then take a picture or your super duper extra rigid board that doesn't flex under the strain that a P4 heat sink NEEDS to have.


If you board doesn't flex then I can only come to one conclusion,you didn't install it properly.
