My friend is nuts and is going to spend $70-$80 for an original copy of Final Fantasy VII for the PS1.

He says he can't find anyplace that sells it locally.

I had this game at some point but don't anymore :(.

Anyone live in Orlando that wants to make a few bucks and has it? JK ;). Ok, really I'm not, but I don't want to make this a WTB post.

What's the best way to save him from the madness?

buy a cheaper copy? why does he need the original? can't he just get the greatest hits version? i sold a original versino copy not that long ago on ebay for like $20 maybe.

PSA: the game wasn't THAT great. you guys all practically cream your pants every time this game is mentioned...

there's no reason to have the original unless he wants it as a collector's item, tell him to find a greatest hits copy.

I wish I could buy it for cheap... I hear it's good but I've never played it. Not going to pay $50+ for it.

In the opinion of many people on here, yes it was THAT great. I don't think I would pay more than $50 for any game just as a collectors item, but this would be one of those games I could see someone spending that much money on easily. Not to mention the memorabilia for it.

I don't "cream in my pants" when the game is mentioned, but I'll always respect it as the greatest console RPG ever made in my opinion.

Why do you care? He wants it and has the money so let him buy it in peace. It's only $80...

There was also a PC version released. Fans also released some patches, which include updated models/skins for the main characters. They don't look like weebles after you put the patch on :p

Meh, it's a great game. If he can't find it cheaper let him spend his money how he wants.

When I say original, I just mean not a copy. Greatest hits is fine.

Any of you wanting to sell it for $50 that can do overnight shipping? He might do it!
