I enjoyed the game alot, but not $80 worth of alot.

I haven't really enjoyed an RPG game as much as that since. Although I have more fun sitting down with Earthbound or Super Mario RPG : Legend of the 7 Lost Stars these days if I'm feeling nostalgic. I own both carts and my SNES still works :)

Find any Buy-it-Now auctions for that?

If they're not, they'll be sniped at the end. You know how ebay works, right?

That seems rather pointless. Why does he insist on using a Playstation?

FFVII bored me. I actually liked FFVIII better... well, the first 2 discs of VIII, anyway.

The game is worth far more than $10. It's worth what people are willing to pay for it. If you look at the completed listings on eBay, they're over $40. Most are over $50. $50 isn't a terrible price for it, but it's a lot more than I'd pay.

Many will be sniped. Waiting for one to not be sniped and getting a good price is not what we want to do. Remember how I said we want one TODAY?

BTW, just a quick question... have you spent all of your previous 9440 posts being a douchebag?

Thanks.

In the opinion of many people on here, yes it was THAT great. I don't think I would pay more than $50 for any game just as a collectors item, but this would be one of those games I could see someone spending that much money on easily. Not to mention the memorabilia for it.

I don't "cream in my pants" when the game is mentioned, but I'll always respect it as the greatest console RPG ever made in my opinion.

Chrono Trigger. :) Random encounter avoidance makes Chrono Trigger > *. In my opinion :p

Dear Almost Everyone on the Internet,

FFVII is not the greatest game ever created simply because it was the first RPG that you got into. Most of the previous FF games were superior. In fact, FFVII was the first FF game to largely do away with nonlinearity in the series and instead fill up the players' time with mini-games and movies. see Dragon Quest VIII for a modern RPG done right.

Sincerely,

Everyone Else on the Internet

Hey I love Chrono too, both games are in my personal Top 5. The random encounter thing is just something you have to get use to with the Final Fantasy series (we're not counting Mystic Quest).

lol, DQ8 was a horrible let down. Dragon Warrior for NES > DQ8.
I've played all the FF games except the online one and III (I'll get that when it comes to the DS). I don't think I've ever enjoyed a game as much as FFVII.

FFVI was better, but VII is still good. 8 & 9 weren't that great, I liked X.
I've seen FFVII on ebay for $60 for greatest hits, more for the original. I have an original copy in mint condition I bought when it was released

$80 is too much for a mediocre game.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T!
I'm an olderschool gamer. After SNES the series fell apart.
Slight inter-generational gap.

Well that makes me feel better about not playing the recent ones, because I  FFVI.
