I have read different comparison specially one comparison done by xbit labs which shows that the amd x2 4200 (939 socket) at max contained a 2fps advantage over 3500+. So i have decided to shun the complete system overall and go for amd 3500+. I will try to find a nforce 4 chipset though. i think msi has one called neo-4.

I'm cheap...
I'd go for the $200 option, especially since you're not multitasking.

One last thing if anyone is still interested..🙂..will the opteron 165 processor work with any 939 socket motherboard. I mean i can get a opteron 165 for about 180 dollars here.

So can i buy it and use it with msi k8n motherboard with agp slot and ddr ram.????

you check with the manufacturer and update the BIOS anyway?

VIA is generally inferior to nForce chipsets because of overclocking capabilities, and also stable aftermath usage. Run stock options and your system will be stable.

No they are 939 now as well🙂. Can somebody tell me the difference between the following to msi k8n neo2 motherboards.

http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=607

As all three are available in my country and i don't know which one to buy. Also can somebdy tell me how good is this board compared to a8v-x board i mentioned earlier.

Also I have 2X256 ddr333 rams and one 512 ddr 400 ram. Will i be able to overclock with these rams.

Can't you get any Nforce4 MBs? The Nforce3 boards are yesterdays news.
The DDR you have is probably topped out.

So people I have found a site that shall deliver to my home country. So let your computer knowledge roar and find me a cpu + mobo combo.

Limitations:
Agp Slot
DDR Ram
200$ budget
