Well, the fan on my GF3Ti200 is dying and MOST of the VGA coolers are too big for my sff case or too much $ so I guess it's time to replace the card!

I'm looking for something equal but LOW cost. What would be a good replacement!

I'd prefer sub $50 and I'm contemplating just looking for a used GF3Ti200 if they can be had even cheaper. I don't play any 3d games and the pc has been reduced to an email/video out machine so 3d power isn't really needed.

you don't even have to go to ebay, I found a couple on the FS/FT forums right here, you just might have to look and wait for awhile. The difference between the MX and the 4200 is huge, you might as well find a nice GF2 GTS for $20, it will out perform most MX's in my experience.

hell.. no 3d, i wouldn't even waste my money on a Ti4200.. if it was literally not going to see any 3d, I'd get a Radeon 7000 or something with (arguably) better 2d quality.

A Radeon 7k as well would also be even cheaper.

I would personally go with the 5200, but I would check the for sale for trade forums here to see what you can get for $45 - you might be pretty surprised...plus, there is at least one brand new 9200se at new egg for $36, and I am actually using it right now in a clients machine as I type this :) Needed cheap DVI out and this fit the bill nicely.

I still have a Diamond Viper II with S3 savage 2000 chipset and no fan with a Duron 900.

It get 60 to 70 fps in Unreal Tournament and has good 2D also.

You can use the special textures from the second CD also.
